this is actually crazy how heavily the crowd was on sonix's side. even leo doesn't usually have this level of crowd backing him. literally EVERY time sonix even hit miya the crowd started to come alive.

The commentators were on point, being quite informative as well as showing respect to the players by explaining why the games have very long spaces of neutral as these players are the crème de la crème of advantage states. A single mistake, no matter how minute, could result in 50+ percent taken if not a stock taken outright. Miya also showed a lot of respect to Sonix with that homie edgeguard in the first game. What a showing with how rapidly the pendulum could swing in a player's favor. I am definitely looking forward to their future matches.

I think Smash is the only game where a match between #1 and #2 is atrociously boring, even at 2x speed. There is no hype, they just look at each other in the eyes during 90% of the game. I mean this isn't entertaining at all, you can't attract new people in the competitive aspect of smash with such an horrible highlight.
