Lure Painting the Violet Flash Shad - Lure Trading with JJD Custom Lures

Here is a pattern I painted for JJD Custom Lures for a lure trade we did.
Colors used for this lure was Titanium White, Wicked Aluminum, Folkart Blue Violet Color Shift, Createx Opaque Black, Vallejo Electric Blue Intense Violet Color Shift over the Black.

If you are new to lure painting this is probably one of the best tools you can have. When I first started painting fishing lures I was so excited that I jumped in and started painting lure blanks without even thinking I may have to reproduce that lure again. A year later I wished I had this log book back then, because after painting a couple hundred lures sometimes remembering the colors I used, or where I even ordered the blank from became a problem.

Haven’t used the aluminum but I’ve used Createx Autoborn Silver Sealer. It is the brightest most reflective I’ve seen. You can use 2 parts sealer to 1 part Candy2O Tequila Yellow and it will make the most vibrant gold you can get
IMO you are correct that reducer works better than water.
