I'm one of the regular viewers of your videos. I'm learning Farsi. Regarding the short stories, I suggest that you put an English translation for each sentence at the bottom of the video. And also put the vocabularies at the end of the video with English translation.

@@martinger.becker1614 thanks a lot for your comments and sorry for my late reply!
This is really excellent. Please please make some more like this as resources such as these are really helpful to improve listening comprehension when you don't have easy access to any Iranians lol. With movies and various other UA-cam channels, the conversation I find to be just a tad too fast, but the slow speed then normal speed approach works really well. However, a couple of things surprised me. Firstly, the use of وی را in a few places when I would have expected او را And secondly, the use of یکی شان to mean 'one of them' when I would have expected یکی ازایشان or maybe یکی ایشان There seem to be some contractions happening here that are new to me, even though I consider my farsi knowledge to be internediate.
'VEY' is the formal written alternative for 'oo'. 'ishaan' is the formal written alternatie for 'aanhaa/oonha'. yeki shaan (yeki shoon)= yek az aanhaa (oonhaa)= one of them
@@PersianLearning Thank you so much for replying to explain these items and confirm my assumptions. This is a great help! In general I find there are few resources that so clearly highlight the differences between conversational and formal farsi, with an emphasis on the former, as do your videos. :)
Excellent, Majid. These videos are so Perfectly done. Some questions: (1) Why is there no ezafeh between guruh zan o mard -- shouldn't it be pronounced guruhe-ye zan o mard? (2) Also, when you translate "vey ra dast mi-andakhtand", can you note that it is an idiomatic expression. I went crazy trying to figure it out -- they were beating him -- with the old "vey" and then I played around -- still wondering how the expression made it to "making fun of him" meaning --- of course I love these plays on meaning and can live with out knowing but would like to. One suggestion to make it into an even better learning exercise would include a few words of vocabulary so one could translate it better. But a lot of work.Sorry!

thank you
it will come, I'm working on listening series.
This was what I was looking for. Thank you!
It would improve my learning experience if you had written the story in Roman letters.
Thank you for your advice, although I already read the Persian alphabet, but I’m slow at it and therefore it disturbs my flow while learning.
That is a very good tip! Thank you.
I learnt the Persian alphabet! Now I struggle with short vowels which do not apear in writing!

A lot of new vocabulairy in this lesson! I got confused with the word وی. Is that a formal or informal use of او?
yes, formal and literary
I dont understand the وى that refers to the man, as in
وى را دست مى انداختند
What exactly is this وى ؟
Can you please explain
And thank you for the great teaching method
وی refers to third person singular )man/woman(
