I always had trouble playing the Germans in this scenario. got to smoke the road and get up in the soviets face..getting the flamethrower up and flamming helps...trying to sit back and shoot the soviets out of the stone buildings dont work real well unless you can get a fire group of 24fp+. tough to do with the forces allowed. the problem comes from getting the smoke out. some bad dice rolls and it stall your entire advance. looking forward to watching this one!
I would have to agree with you - just looking at the situation. 'Chunky' FP is a rare thing in games like this. Smoke prior to the advance shall be the order of the day. We shall see. I think it will be fun - if I get at least TWO buildings, anyway. Lol. Thanks, OG. I'll keep you updated. ~K/Fritz
Good luck. I’m terrible on the this kind of attack. Think about your odds of the 2d6 bell curve, don’t waste too much time with prep fire, break the enemy more than kill, roll the dice as often as possible (ie, don’t worry about making killer stacks).
This pushed me off the fence... so I bought a copy of SK1. I've watched various tutorials and liked the sound of ASL... but I bog down on the turn sequence/phases... I don't quite get what they're representing. So I'm going to have to try it first hand and see if it sticks.
Just finished scenario S1. German victory. About to setup S2 and found your vids. Subbed. Thanks much.
Awesome! And congrats on the victory. I hope to play S3 next - of course I will video the whole thing. Thanks for the sub., Barry.

I really look forward to following this play through. I enjoy this type if scenario. Up close from the start. Just get to it!
An interesting scenario, I am pleasantly surprised by how small a footprint the map takes. I look forward to watching the updates.
Enjoy the game, had a lot of fun playing this scenario myself.
Looking forward how your different set-up makes your game flow.
Great Game! You present it perfectly Kurt!!I will watch Part 1 now...
