Can we try to list Algorands weakneses here in comments. I do not see many. I would say that inflation for now is high and for sure the price action is disapoiting but it makes it cheap to buy. When it comes to technology itself I do not see competition. Eth, sol, cardano do not seem to match. I think it will be blockcgain of choice for a lot of value stored and exchanged for Europe, Australia and USA. I think in future we will stake Algo as part of our pension scheme. I think algorand will be underlaying tech for USDC being used in South America as fir sure dollar is being attacked and it will be easy way to roll fiat usd into usdc and make it a currency of choice for South america economies. It is win-win for USA and south America.
Don’t forget it’s practically the blockchain of choice for Italy and their banks and El Salvador is running there Bitcoin transactions on Algorand
Inflation WAS high, but won't be going forward. We are around 8 billion circulating at the moment and will end at 10 billion in 2030. That's pretty low inflation
@@Funions2 Yeah, inflation was the reason I didn't touch it till recently. But now this is a non issue, and solved by itself.
I would love to get in with this coin and group longterm...but it's going to have to come after the bullrun/after (hopefully) some of my other coins go up in the next year or so...

I have some algo doing nothing didn't even know we could stake it! How do we stake to your node?
Get pera wallet, keep your algo on pera wallet, every quarter you will have the opportunity to sign up for governance. Then, you algo will be locked for 90 days, at the end of governance, you will be required to vote. As long as you don’t touch your algo during the governance period, you will get the governance reward.

Since you’re from UK, can you make a video on staking options, because of recent FCA ruling you cant stake anymore.
I am still earning staking rewards on my staked balance of ADA and they are being restaked, but can’t add anymore to it. P.S. im using Revolut mobile banking for crypto.

SEC sues exchanges for ofering unregistered securities. Lets say that in order to sell cars you need license, but somebidy sells them without it. It is not Fords, Honda or Toyota fault. But, i think Algo is less liklly to be deemed security than many other coins. I spent hours researching in what ways Algo can be considered not a security where some other competitors would be. My conclusions was that it almost looked like it was planned for Algo to be like a security , but technically (under the law) not. It could change since i did my reasearch as upgrades can change the status, but I think this one is chosen by goverments.

Don't want to be rude but this seemed like a nothingburger. Do they have any advantage over other chains? They seem like they have a good package but nothing really standout?
Instant finality, mathematically impossible to fork, 2.9second transactions, can do 40k transactions per second, nearly free transactions, carbon negative, real world use cases (millions of airline tickets, real estate fractional ownership, etc), founded by the person who pretty much enabled crypto to be a thing.
Problem with people like you is you guys invest in a token solely to dump it when it pumps. Nothing more nothing less. You guys can careless about how it affects the financial system and how web2 is phasing out and web3 will be the new kid on the block. By the time you guys realize this you will FOMO in on these tokens. Don't be a hindsight learner, it's never good to learn a lesson after the fact.
The part which stands out is that the technology actually works, also under pressure. Sure, they might lack some projects and infrastructure here and there, they still lack better APIs. However, the actual blockchain is absolutely flawless, you can't compare it to BTC, ETH, SOL or ADA - all of them had nasty bugs in the past e.g inflation bugs, downtimes, hacks, freezes etc.
Algorithm has a shitty staking mechanism what there doing doesnt change the fact that they made staking irritating not easy or fun like other staking programs😮
Governance staking is not convenient, but before they had the best staking in the industry - just keep algo in your wallet and get daily rewards. I think they will go back to it.
ISO 20022 is dead amigo. so many better choices.
