With three CONCACAF teams automatically qualifying for the 2026 WC, This campaign will be the widest lane for a Caribbean team to go to the WC. T&T and Costa Rica already saying they expect to qualify. In any case it is the widest gate to WC in a generation.
It doesnt matter where the coach is from. As long as they can speak fluent english, has a system, knows how to manage the ego of players & motivate & build chemistry among the players. Winfried Schäfer was our former coach & he was from Germany. He had issues getting to communicate to the players because he doesnt speak fluent english but he was a fine attacking tactician (tiki-taka ball).

I like his contents but he needs to work on his presentation as his constant gesticulations can be a bit distracting. His opening statements at times needs to be worked on as based on some of his opening remarks, he appeared unprepared.

The Jamaica 🇯🇲 job is challenging, but there are many coaches that would take on the challenge after weighing the "risk vs. rewards."

If you check these coaches resume you will see that all of them learn from or were mentored in the Barcelona, Real Madrid, La Liga, Spanish system. Spain is where the school is that teach midfield possession. The Spanish system teach you how to become a great number 10 and a great creative midfielder which is what reggae boys need. All of the great young coaches in the premier league learn in the Spanish system. The new Chelsea and Liverpool coach, Bournemouth coach, Fulham, man city with pep, Vincent company. Spain is where Messi, Ronaldhino, Zidane, Modric, iniesta, went to learn football. So all I am saying is most of these new young talented coaches learn their craft in the Spanish system. So if we get a coach who was educated in the Spanish system that would be great. They could be Argentinian, European, etc
Please stop the nonsense.. Ronaldinho and Zidane went to Spain to learn how to play? They had more success in Spain playing the same way they always did. If you're going by numbers German, French and Dutch develop more young talent than any other on earth. The only thing that enhanced Ronaldinho game beyond what he already had was playing alongside Ococha at PSG. What is destroying South American football is sending their prodigies to Europe too early.
Thomas Frank DeZerbi have never set foot in Spain system. Look on Real Madrid, how many players come up from their youth system, Barcelona just start to produce decent players from the LA Masia after almost 10 years.

MG, the South American players might play in Europe, but they’re born and raised in South America; Jamaica has a bunch of European born players..big difference.
European coach with European born players for Jamaica will not work in this region. I say we bring in a coach from South America.. that’s our best chance at improving our level of football.

South Americans are South American playing in Europe and not the next way around. Remember they are cultured in their style and philosophy of their game from a young age hence having their own coaching their national team is best for them.
However in our case we have cultured European players coming to us and Jamaica don't have a cultured philosophy nationally but players who players who are influenced by the team and the players they followed hence it might be wise to bring in a cery good European coach.
I agree with you that Rudolph Speid would not be so “fool fool” to take up that position. Anyone who thinks that it is possible needs to have their heads examined.

Why do peoples use youtube to spread fake info? Repeating it for content does not even make sense. We had a qualified coach and he was frustrated to leave. I saw one guy mentioned Davion Ferguson. I say JA is a desirable job and they will find a coach in short order we just need to be patient and stop trying to front run.

More World Cups have been won by European teams....Europe has 12.....South America has 10.......South America led at one time but,was overtaken by Europe....so there is no particular merit in appointing a South American Coach over a European....

There is no particular merit in appointing a Brazilian or Argentinian Coach over a European one......Jamaica's chances are just as good with either......although it should be noted that ,overwhelmingly,South American footballers of any note,get Their football education finessed in Europe( not the other way around),and so do many of Their Coaches too....

@@mgsportstv What matters most is that,irrespective of where the Coach is from,Jamaica FF coalesce behind Him wholeheartedly so that He has no distractions from the task......even with USA/ Canada/ Mexico hosting WC,it is still not a given Jamaica will qualify easily......Costa Rica and Panama,presently,are ahead of Jamaica.....as an island nation(albeit #1 in Concacaf),Jamaica cannot take anything for granted......but it will require Someone with international experience.....
