Like others have said. I was spellbound by this performance when it was broadcast on Parkinson. There was another video of this on UA-cam but it wasn't great quality. This is superb. I've watched this loads of times since it was posted, at least every fortnight. One of the best 'Live' performances. It just builds and builds and that choir.... ooofffffffff :-)
I'd rather like Razorlight's concert at London Brixton Academy the same year...For what it's worth ; ) I met 'Ed' in Glastonbury, we talked about miscellaneous stuff. At this time, I was practising performing as a prima ballerina Igor Stravinsky *Le Sacre du Printemps* on ROH in Covent Garden. I'd never thought he would attend the ballet. Still, he unexpectedly appeared in my dressing room, wearing a tux and white sneakers to congratulate me with a colourful freesia bouquet after the show. I remember he was very courteous, pretty shy actually; he told me he had really enjoyed the spectacle. He invited me then to his band's live at London Brixton Academy: I was in, he had picked a prominent place for me. After the concert, we shared a private moment, had one of those things you know, I mean, well, I was his missus that night and some next ones, having fun and laughs twisted in the bedsheets the 3/4 of our available respective schedules for around 3 weeks; ) It's a sweet memory lost in a moment of my life.
Thanks for uploading this as the other versions on YT didn't spot justice. I remember sitting there open mouthed wathcing this. It was a spellbinding performance, only maybe bettered by Queen opening Live Aid for Best Live Performance on TV. Utterly mesmerising stuff. Love Razorlight
I spent ages looking for this... I remember the performance & thought it was awesome.. But I always thought it was on the Jonathan Ross Show & not Parkinson.
I never saw this at the time but I love this song and this is definitely the best version. Funny that he basically left the rest of the band out - classic Johnny
This performance blew me away at the time.
Exact same!!! I remember sitting there for 5 minutes after going..that was unreal!!!
Same! It’s never sounded better - total goosebumps moment

Amazing!
It's the best song ... i love it!!
Thanks for this, I thought the choir might screw it up but they got it just right - fantastic.
Brilliant
Johnny is an incredible frontman.
😆
Anyone who appreciates music. Listen to this. Then listen to the original version. You will thank me
I give zero fucks, best performance ever - want then back!!
Wow
And a big thanks from me
yes i remember watching this and it had an instant impact on me i became hooked, I wonder what they are doing now ?
BRILLIANT SONG, ARRANGEMENT ETC. IT'S JUST A SHAME THAT THE BAND WERE LEFT IN THE BACKGROUND, JOHNNY AND THE CHORUS JUST TOOK OVER.
Have you not heard of them before? Stuff like this is why the rest of them ended up hating him :D
@Dhanijel1 Cheers mate.
The ego landed
I loved everything but his hair.
That was the band style at the time mate..here in London.
Was this or the 1st or 2nd?
Wow
