I come back to this video every few years. When I first saw it over 10 years ago, I was at the tail end of a music degree. I still have friends from back then and we quote this video to each other. especially the, "I'm really feeling this grove." and "Do you play from the heart?" So much about this video is odd, but perfect.
It reminds me of weird creepy wealthy secular jewish new york families who all have kids that play the violin and dress nice and went to private school and shit. This whole video has, like, a hardcore vibe I can't put my finger on haha
12 years later and this video is one of my all-time favorites. A perfect blend of my two favorite things: absurd humor and video game music. _Do you comment from the heart?_
I come back to this video at least once a year. My brain restarted when I saw Josh in BCS because I never expected to see someone from my favorite UA-cam video in the goddamn Breaking Bad universe
What this video lacks in "views" and "likes" it makes up for 100 fold with the heartfelt and honest comments, still going after TWELVE years. I've never seen a video with such consistently adoring contents. No pun intended, you really struck a chord with this one, my Nickel.

@@squick1842 #3 is definitely not Billy Joel's song. Some similar parts but the melody is very different. Case in point: ua-cam.com/video/8bE8wBSGzcg/v-deo.html listen to that and relisten and you'll see its not that.
I was watching The Creep Tapes last night and when episode 3 started all I could do was point at the screen and go "it's him! The soft pianist!" This video has been deeply ingrained on my brain since I first watched it so many years ago.
What Brent never realized is his comedy flies over the head of 99% of people which only later get the subtle brilliant punchline, if ever. Not the best formula for making money or being successful and famous, but it is comedic performance art in my opinion. Pure snobbery at its best!
This reminds me of when I was in a room and someone was playing the piano, and then someone else played it. This video has a surprise ending. I wouldn't have guessed!
@@mooseg12 I gave it a listen, and I can really hear the similarities. Much more so than "My Life" that everyone initially thought it was. Also, given that Brent plays retro video game music on the piano, I wouldn't put it past him to take from other games like SMT2.
fuck i loved all the video game references 1st song Triforce Chamber- zelda a link to the past 2nd song marble zone - sonic 1 3rd song ??? 4th song metroid
13 years later and this is still the real me.
yup you guessed it. It was actually me watching the video, the whole time.
You guessed it, it was me, I watched the video 20,000 times
You guessed it, it was me, i made that comment 3 years ago.
@@squick1842 That's right. It was me behind the comment, the whole time.
Man it's been years and I cant stop
10 months later and i’m still not giving up
you really want to know who made that comment 7 years ago? It wasn't either one of us. The whole time, it was you.

Man, I first saw this video over a decade ago, and I still think to myself "I'm really feeling his groove" like once a week.
Decadence

The more I watch this, the better it gets. Watching this feels like an old friend picks you up and floats you through town on a pillow, in a dream.
The internet was waiting for a video like this.
I started taking piano lessons because of this video.
You guessed it. It was actually me taking them this whole time!
hejmine

Do you play from the heart?
I'm modest. lol

This is seriously one of my favourite videos. People just don't get it. I think it's extremely clever and fun.
Could you explain it?
You guessed it, it was explained, the whole time.
This video is 3 years old. It still makes me laugh so hard I cry.. the whole time.
Now it's 13 years old. Do you still laugh and cry buddy?
They're dressed as Sergei Racmaninov and Bill Evans.

It took me 4 years to discover this video and it's the best thing I've ever seen in my life.
the "I'd like that" was perfect
Deb from Napoleon Dynamite ♥
I was watching The Creep Tapes last night and when episode 3 started all I could do was point at the screen and go "it's him! The soft pianist!" This video has been deeply ingrained on my brain since I first watched it so many years ago.

Brent, just coming back to tell you that this is one of my favorite videos of all time, and I truly mean that.
Couldn't agree more

"Look, but don't touch" will forever crack me up.

I'm still here
This is such a classic, so many layers. So beautiful. Nice fake out
lmao why do I feel like I'm watching american psycho?!
American psycho was watching you this whole time.

This video is honestly a big part of my life.
I love the soft pianist. My family. My brother Paul doesn't understand reality.
Money is not love!
I can't stop watching this. We need a part 2!
this is my favorite thing. I have so much appreciation for this piece. I have to scream laugh every time.
Oh you make dope beats?
Let me get a slurpy right quick.
You guessed it. Its 2020 and I'm back here trying to get a little peace of mind again.

I have no idea wtf I just watched, but I loved it. I loved it a lot.
This may be the best video I have seen in a while. Thank you so much!
Reminds me of the couple from Hitchcock's movie Rope
A true masterpiece.
Every time I rewatch this I have to take a bottom half shower
I really love this....
i'm...really feeling this groove...
Song @2:39 is Metroid: Kraid's Theme, I'm pretty sure.
still one of the greatest pieces on the internet.
This was so perfect in every way
played at his recent ucb showcase and couldn't wait to see it online. fantastic.
Whole time I'm watching BCS, I'm like "I deff know that actor" and lo and behold, it's him
Are you talking about better call Saul?
Brent's playing is so beautiful
I've been watching this on an almost monthly basis since it came out, and I only just now realised that the title is a dick joke.
A link to the past in the beginning. I love you.
it's the Triforce Chamber theme from The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past.
the best, really
This was amazing, I can't believe I just found it! Thanks Brent and Josh :D
+undergroundindy it's so good! I watch it like once a week ever since I found it
How many plot twists would you like to have in a video?
BrentWeinbach: yes
This is brilliant. You two are the next big thing. I can feel the enjoyment.
didnt expect the greatest rendition of the triforce chamber to come from a brent weinbach video
this is really great. the glasses guy is like Michael, Michael, and David together like Voltron.
Hahaha!!! First time seeing this video!!! You so funny-wunnyyyy!!! 💗
🇵🇭🙏💗
The editing in this video is amazing, bravo
This is a work of art.
Brent Weinbach is hilarious. These videos got me ROFL-ing all over the place.
Seriously Brent, what song are you playing at 1:55??? I cannot find one single commenter who knows the answer.
This reminds me of when I was in a room and someone was playing the piano, and then someone else played it. This video has a surprise ending. I wouldn't have guessed!
It's been nearly 11 years, and I still want to know what song is at 1:55. Who knows, it may not be a song; it might be an improvised play from Brent.
Pretty sure it's an arrangement of the disco theme from SMT 2
@@mooseg12 I gave it a listen, and I can really hear the similarities. Much more so than "My Life" that everyone initially thought it was. Also, given that Brent plays retro video game music on the piano, I wouldn't put it past him to take from other games like SMT2.
What a twist!
I too, am feeling that groove. I wish I knew what it was
Had to come back to this after seeing Better Call Saul
Does anyone recognize the song at 1:57?
