    first time making rice on a stove because we just moved out of our house, followed this to a T and it turned out perfect!!! the rice was so much more fluffy than when using a rice cooker! thanks so much!

      You need to stir the rice after it’s done in the cooker in a way that won’t crush the grain.
      It’s a knowledge problem, not a cooker problem.

      And also to not get your rice to stick as you can see rinsing the rice only , your supposed to also put more water in the pan than rice

      Growing up with absent and/or uninvolved guardians wasn't easy. But having youtube as a place to turn to as an adult has been phenomenal!

    I really enjoyed this video. I used to hate cooking rice because it always turns out gummy looking and I don’t know how long it takes for the water to boil out nor if the rice is completely done. Thanks to you, my rice turns out to be much better than before. Thank you! 😊🙏❤

    A lot of white rice in US are 1 cup rice 2 cups water. Also if you have a very tight fitting lid with no vent it will be less messy to put lid like how she did or stick a toothpick in between lid. When lid is tight the pressure will build inside and it’ll splatter onto stovetop if not vented. Hope this helps as well.

    1 to 1 ratio leave lid off a bit so it can breathe Somehow that keeps in a lot of moisture After its done replace the lid fully for 5 to 10 mins

    I added about 1/2 - 1 tsp coconut oil. lt helped w/flavor & no sticking, after it cooled. Thanks much!

      @@sebaceousgland5123 you can add it after if you want, but butter, salt, or any flavorings are usually added at the very start

    Soak rice for 30 mins. Drain water off. Put in pan. Same amount of water above rice eg 2 inches of rice, 2 inches of water above rice. Bring to boil and simmer on lowest light possible for 9 mins with lid on. Take off heat take off lid, fluff up with fork. Eat.

    If my rice to much moisture I spread it out and dry it out in the oven great for fried rice

    I dice up small pieces of onion and put a spoon of oil first so it gives the rice more flavor, I recommend trying it!

    Washing also removes over half the arsenic.

      by the time my rice has boiled its already stuck to the bottom i just scrape it all off and stir well then simmer and it works for me

      I followed the directions on my rice bag perfectly today and it was 1rice:2water for 20 minutes... It came out as mush. I couldn't eat it! 🤢 I will try 1:1 next time!

      @@jharris7 it's one to one only on fast white rice, full grain needs one and a quarter water to one portion of rice. And it's very important to wash the rice when using this method.

      it is on low heat for 15, when it is steamed it is taken off the heat
