My theory for why Michonne didn't mention RJ is because Rick is clearly not doing well. He could spiral with news as big as that.
He’s also clearly gonna hold onto his Carl baggage for the rest of his life
@@getaloadofthisguy2927 Yeah. When your *child* dies, it counts as “baggage”.
I think the reason Rick wanted to bring Michonne back to CRM is that he had alerted the CRM about their location from episode 1 after they crashed, and they are under attack. CRM will send a full response force. Rick already knows of their search tactics through his previous escape attempts. Now, Rick, risen in the ranks as a leader, knows of their tactics and fighting training. Rick now is partially aware of deeper CRM operations. Now that Rick knows his family is alive and looking for him, he can now use his acquired knowledge to plan an escape. I'm gonna add that WE all love Molly! you keep talking Molly.
No we don’t….
1. Jadis saying "yes, yes, yes" is a call back to the way she spoke during S7 and S8.
2. They can't just leave. The Crm will track them down because they don't want people knowing about them in the first place. They know where they picked up Rick before, they would just need to do a short search and immediately find Alexandria and kill everyone there.
3. Michonne hesitated to tell Rick about RJ because cleary he isn't in the right state of mind, Him knowing about RJ would make him panic tf out and have him rush to get home without any careful thoughts into a plan
4. The characters we spent time with, in this episode wasn't "filler". Firstly, it was important to see Michonne's POV of how she found Rick. Secondly, their deaths although annoying/sad, served the story. Making Michonne have a proper motive to hate and want to fight the CRM.
5. In terms of Time frame all you need to know is that Rick and Michonne found eachother 7 years after the bridge. Michonne was out looking for him for a little over a year since she was recovering from the chlorine gas.
6. And Finally, The reason why the CRM randomly attacked them with gas was because they were getting close to Philadelphia. (Fun fact: In World Beyond we see this gas being tested and later on used at Omaha and the Campus Colony.
I also think Michonne wants to process the RJ news with Rick, and they only have a few minutes alone together inside CRM. 😢
Exactly this!
Thank you! Love these girls reacting to TWD but sometimes it feels like they need detailed notes to understand the simplest things 😭
@@seanloranto2130it’s a bummer because the start of the show they used to really analyze things, but they seem to say a lot is filler now when it’s not :/
Can’t run? Hmmm maybe you should check out the other spin off shows 😝
I have dwarfism and seeing someone with dwarfism in the walking dead universe made my life!
Jadis saying "yes yes yes" was a reference to how she would speak when she was leader of the scavengers "up up up" one of her episodes was also called "say yes"
Yesss exactly 😂
Rick was absolutly 100% right that they would not get away, there were atleast 3 helicopters being there within 10 minutes one of them a troop transporter holding probably 50 soldiers. They almost certainly have had thermal imaging easily spotting people on the ground, there is no way in hell they get away when these helicopters start circling the area.
Sadly, Nat had to go because of the situation. They needed it to look like someone attacked the helicopter, and that someone couldn't be Michonne of course. So Nat getting shot and framing him as the person who attacked, while Michonne came in and helped, was the only way both Rick and Michonne get out of that situation.
Edit: Also, Rick has a tracker on him apparently. That's the main reason he couldn't just leave.
Plus there’s no way they could’ve outrun those helicopters on foot
At the end of the 1st episode Rick had already called for backup. They can't outrun a helicopter and CRM would know Rick tried to escape again if they didn't find a body
The characters that died gave Michonne knowkledge of the nefarious deeds of the CRM (gassing innocent people) and also the motivation to take the CRM down for killing her friends. We saw how she dispatched those soldiers - it was personal for her. If she had just infiltrated the CRM and found Rick, her only motivation would be to escape with Rick. Now she wants the CRM wiped out. I think this may be a source of conflict in the future because Rick just wants to escape and go home and doesn't want to stir the hornet's nest.
How Michonne was standing there, looking over the CRM with Nat’s lighter in her hand & the opening credits show Nat’s lighter, Plus what Rick salvaged from NAT was also is lighter. I think, Michonne will do something in relation to NAT in later episodes like blow up the CRM or something
Courtney: "They'll be ok." "I'm sure a few of them will die, but I don't think they're all gonna die" 😁
Outside of just catching us up on how Michonne found Rick, I feel like the first half of the episode is important to the overall story because it lights a fire in Michonne to want to take down the CRM. If Michonne got to the Civic Republic without knowing they were killing pure innocent people who just want to help others like Bailee and Aiden, she would've been more focused on just escaping instead of trying to take them down, and I think that will be a huge theme in the following episodes compared to Rick being broken and just wanting to get out of there, because she now feels like she has to get justice for them and Nat
The first part of the episode IS important. Even if they all die it’s important because
1. it effected Michonne and her journey
2. explained why she was away for so long
3. is the reason Rick’s heli was taken down, so was the reason they reunited
4. is now a reason for Michonne to hate the CRM and do more than escape with Rick. She wants justice for her friends.
I think another reason Rick didn't take the chance to run in this episode was because that scene last episode where Okafor revealed that he read Rick's letters - where he told Rick that if he escapes then all he really has to do is start searching around the area in Virginia where they picked him up the first time. He's dead now, but Rick doesn't know if Okafor told anyone else about that (and Jadis knows of course) The CRM never had a reason to go back to where they picked Rick up but if they're searching the general area for him, then they'll definitely come across Alexandria
There was ZERO chance of running away and surviving. Come on now, lol. Ain’t no way they would get away from them…lest we forget the tracker Rick has on him that he activated when they crashed. Rick knows what he’s doing. This was their only plan given the circumstances.
Plus they aren’t outrunning to helicopters on foot
Frankly, I liked Nat, but in a way I get why he had to die. When it comes down to it, the CRM would have questioned the outcome on the reasons chopper went down and Nat and michoone where alive. Even more important, I think Nat was Michoones Oakafor like how Oakafor was Ricks Nat. They both died at the same time, and they both brought Rick and Michoone back together while brining those two main characters into a whole nother level of their own life story. Without Nat and Oakafor neither one of them would be what they are now. It’s sorta symbolic.
iv'e heard people say he chopped off his arm for nothing!! but if he didn't then michonne would of at the end of the first ep, just thought i would say that his arm was then metal and stopped michonne from blow !
Nice reaction. I wanted to respond to your question. The point of the first 40 minutes was to explain what was going on with Michonne for a year. Philly isnt that far from alexandria, she should have been back. It was also meant to provide her with motivation to go against the crm, which is opposed to what rick wants at this point. Lastly, it was a nod to the theme of the show. The ones who live isnt just literal, but it refers to the people they carry with them. While Michonne was being interviewed, she was weaving in various elements from the group of people she was with. Like the name of the sister or the idea of her believing in something and wanting to hold on just a little bit longer.
Y’all supposed to know what yes yes yes means if not anything & people gone die that’s how it’s gonna be everybody can’t live but their deaths are used to show that even though it’s Rick & michonne, without who they lost, they couldn’t do this. That’s why when it gets passionate they go back to scenes of these people who have passed, their ambition still runs with them. Okafors plan is still in Rick, nats fire is still in michinne, if not for that then they’d just be themselves. But we see things being altered like her flicking nats “danger” lighter. Nothing doesn’t have significant meaning on a show, just gotta know what things are building up to. Or you’re just watching it
Rick did the right and only option on that time. The guy who died in the helicopter, garbage lady, and probably more people knows where he came from so its gonna be stupid for them to run away. They cant outrun a helicopter too.
BUT IM STILL MAD THAT NAT DIED!
23:26 she once said to one of her people to show rick up up up the way her group talked lol
i think Michonne not telling Rick about RJ wasn't the right time and rick isn't himself and i think michonne picks up on that she hasn't seen him for 7 years they both went through stuff while separated they are definitely dragging it out for maybe episode 4 danai did
I think if Michonne tells Rick, RJ exists, he would lose it, he would be more emotional than he already is and it might jeopardise their escape. Or he might feel even more guilty for not being there or feel more of a failure for not being able to escape
CRM attacks anyone who comes close to their "secret city" The Bridgers terminal harbor was close to the city where Rick tried to escape leaving his boots and the phone. They were still in the vicinity, making it more likely to run into Rick. The show is about Rick & Michonne and reunions of others. Not about cool new characters that Gimple will eventually ignore and underuse (Jesus) It's better off we remember Nat this way before he gets Gimplized. imo Also I think it's only one season, maybe two. Introducing new regulars is not why we wanted this short series. The first half is fixing the timeline and why Michonne was gone so long and establishing her own personal dstain for the CRM.
No, 6 years ago Rick blew up in bridge. Then michonne went to find him and 2 years pass. THEN they return
Chlorine gas attaches to moisture i.e eyes, nose, lungs etc. Which then turns to some form of acid when it mixes with moisture… “fun”? fact
My guess is to why Rick didn’t just run away is because Okafor knew about him, Alexandria and Michonne, so he probably thinks if he knew and he probably told some of his higher ups like Major General Beale.
So it’s his way I think Rick probably thinks others know about him in the CRM and will hunt them down.
when it says now its not six years after what just happened. if it was six years it would still be back not long after rick blew up the bridge lmaooo.
If you'd had seen the world beyond you'd have had immediate disdain for Jadis as soon as she appeared
They did watch World Beyond.
@@MFBloosh Are u sure? They didn't know there are walkers that run or the variants. They still think they are evolving, getting smarter.
@@JoshuaMartian-go3tm Yup. They definitely watched it. It's been a while, though. There was also variants in the main show at the end, 2 years after World Beyond aired. I would think they'd remember that but idk.
@@MFBloosh Why are they surprised about Jadis being there and her motives? She clearly showed what they are in World Beyond. The scene with Kublek and Huck both times.
@@MFBloosh nope, they only watched the first episode of World Beyond
Keep bringing the reactions yall!
Cheers from the heart of Texas!
Why are y'all confused on why Rick didn't just run away?... There's people who Kno about where he's from n will go after him n kill everyone to keep their place a secret they said it ep 1...
15:18 yeah so ricks episode started 5 years after the bridge then he was training for 1 year making it up to year 6 to where michonnes episode started and they reunited before its been 8 years since after the bridge
You can't outrun a helicopter. Especially 3. Rick probably had a tracker on him.
10:23 HAHAHAAHAH😂 LOOK AT THEM LAUGH AT THE DARK JOKE
Sadly, this spinoff series is only one season so it makes sense that certain story arcs ( Michonne's friends being murdered and giving her a reason to take down the CRM with Rick ) come and go with in an episode.
Two episodes Down.
Four episodes to Go.
“I’m gonna fucking lose my marbles”😭
So happy you three are back reacting to TWD Universe, Lia, Molly, and Courtney.
I love your reactions to this Universe.
Please strongly consider reacting to both of the two newest 6 episode series, TWD: Daryl Dixon and then TWD: Dead City once TOWL finishes.
Both are really good for different reasons and I'd truly love to see your reactions to Daryl's adventure in France and Maggie & Negan's adventure in Manhattan, New York.
How do you run FROM A HELICOPTER?
Maybe it’s because I’m from L.A. and I’ve seen police chopper pursuits.
He was right telling her to play along until they can make a plan together.
I don’t think you can out run helicopters
9:00 this isn't rick lol these are the people that wear red and rick isn't one of them lol this is happening not long after or before the downfall of omaha that happen in the walking dead beyond and we seen rick was escaping his 5th time and failed because of saving that girl and after that he went back to his room and learned of omaha on the tv got put on the 12 month mission rebuilding that place we seen while rick reading his last letter to michonne and time passing by in the back and that happens also for michonne after her and nat are gassed and recovering for months
Michonne and Nat recovered in that furniture store for an entire year, as we saw the seasons change via the skylight view she was looking up at daily.
@@charmedoriginal5923 yes I know it went from not long before autumn year 6 to to autumn year 7 to when she reunites with rick
great episode!!
Are you guys going to react the other spin offs
The show had to kill him off he was wayyyyy to OP
And michonne needed a reason to fight the CRM
Lia I've seen people asking about the TWD episodes you had to delete before, because of getting demonetized.
I downloaded just a few of the original reaction episodes you put up (my favourites at the time I think), a while back.
Would it hurt if I reuploaded those onto UA-cam for the others that wanted to watch them? I won't do it unless you give me permission (because obviously it isn't my content).
i love him im so angry that he died but i saw it coming a mile a way but still!!
Questions.
Why do you three watch these when you so obviously dislike them? We can tell because all you do is miss major callbacks and cry about EVERYTHING. The fact you thought Ann's "yes yes yes" was weird is because you paid no attention to her and Rick interacting for THREE WHOLE SEASONS of original TWD.
Nat was even better then you thought. You would know his character much more intimately had all three of you not entirely ignored the story about the best stepdad ever. Then threw out a gay lover as a guess for what he just spent 3 minutes telling us about. You didnt know because you dont have a real interest in them. So you talked all the way through.
Can this channel be normal and Lia introduce the videos as always and Molly talk LESS, please, her input is NOT valid, like EVER,
She always just laughs and says dumb things, please ask her to STOP
You guys are poor at this
This was brutal. I couldn’t finish this video. Clueless is an understatement!!!
