I used to work with sheep and really miss it. We had Suffolks for meat and Border Leicesters. We showed both breeds. I was a night-owl so I did the early morning barn checks but our system was much different. We kept track of breeding dates and moved them to the hill paddock. A few days before they were due, we moved them to the lambing barn and put them in jugs after lambs were born. They got a bucket of warm water and some good hay. Many of our ewes were 200 to 250 pounds and our Suffolk rams were 300 to 350 pounds. I logged the birth and birth weights as well as sending registration papers. I also helped the owner choose the rams used for breeding. I enjoyed it.

Sandi, it looks like you try to do all of the sheep/lambing chores on your own. My two cents, you need a little part time help with management tasks during lambing. Relieve some of the unnecessary stress that this adds to the job and maybe grab a bite to eat. It isn't a question of whether you need the help, you do! Sorry Sandi, I relinquish my soapbox.

Pretty sure most of us know that feeling, I sure do. However, in the grand scheme of things it wasn’t *that* big of a screw up just super frustrating and time consuming.
On another note, when seeing family 61 I thought it would be easy to mix them up with group 19’s numbers, but then I noticed it looks like your protocol is to orient their head to the left when you number them. Cool
We are sitting here watching the struggle, saying you can do it. With slippery lambs we find using a towel to pull makes it so much easier.
I'm gonna be so sad when the vlogmas will be over ! I am addicted to that channel 😁
Me too!!
I always watch your videos last so I can watch parts of it over and over. I am one of those that watch every day so we can see how the weaker / smaller ones are doing. You need to let us know because we are so worried. I also love how you let us see the whole group at the end. You are a great caretaker...
Get your self a couple dog chocker collars, work great to help pull lambs. Thanks for the time and effort your put into your videos.
I can only imagine the chaos of trying to match mom and babies, all the yelling! 🤣
Well done lady you show massive appreciation to your Sheep, and put in a massive amount of hard yards with farming your sheep, to make sure they are okay
I really love your videos. I’m not a farmer, but I like to live through UA-cam. Thanks for sharing. Have a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
Just that intro with the sheep backing up and Nopeing on outa' there
I was just watching your vlog yesterday and I was wondering how you were matching all the babies to the mommas, and was really impressed how you were matching them accurately. Apparently its more difficult than I thought! 🐑
You're only human Sandi...and very tired...so don't be too hard on yourself. Your captions had me seriously LOLing. I've been following your daily IG stories but I'm glad you're doin' these daily vlogs too.
love the lamb with the 2 black eyes and black ear tips at the end. love all you and your hubby do.
Watching this one always makes me laugh. Im sure it is frustrating for you, but laugh sister and do it again.😘
I like you, Sandy... you are gentle and kind... I pray for you and your heart... and all those whom you love...:-)
Oh yea! Gloves!! Hard work! So many babies!!
Let me say. I love how you number your vlogs. I wish more vloggers would do that.
Lambing Series better than Netflix
4am and I'm up waiting for this 😁
Oh my gosh! So many lambs! I'm living for vlogmas :D that pull got to me... So glad both mama and baby are okay!
I'm so glad things are back to normal and look to be going well for you. And thank you for showing us the births again! I know you haven't shown us any assisting on the last few videos, but it's really interesting to see the process.
"turn around Sandi"
that was funny
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
(sorry I know you were tired and had to repeat)
Sandi, it looks like you try to do all of the sheep/lambing chores on your own. My two cents, you need a little part time help with management tasks during lambing. Relieve some of the unnecessary stress that this adds to the job and maybe grab a bite to eat. It isn't a question of whether you need the help, you do! Sorry Sandi, I relinquish my soapbox.
She has someone come in to help a couple times a week and during the school year she often has a co-op high school student help with chores.
@@stephanieellis5399 Thanks Stephanie!
The doctor is in time for lamb therapy.
I always thought the one having the baby would be the one in pain and making noise i think it's you that shows you care ,worry and encourage them.
I'm wondering is this what they mean by to much of a good thing?
Sandi glad you are back. Come January going to be sad not seeing videos everyday but been enjoying them know you and Mark put lots of time in recording everything and getting them ready just know I appreciate them Larry
Sorry, i had to laugh when you left the gate open,.what a job you do..
peter humphries I felt so bad laughing as well
Sorry...I laughed too! Been there, done that..many times over the years - just different situations...same outcome... You do a really superwoman job!
Love how they jump like they’ve got springs on their legs. So dang cute!
THANK TH3 LORD you posted another video! I think I was suffering from withdrawals❗️😭😳🤩
Lambs are just so cute. Almost as cute as puppies. They just jump around and play. Lol.
I'm not a sheep person but this channel is so addicting and never knew how much you can learn
I enjoy your channel so much. Sitting in my recliner after dinner watching the best TV there is and my wife and I laughing at the jumping bean babies..lol
Love how one lamb used them as stepping stones
I love it when she is carrying the baby lamb and its saying maaaaaaaaa. so cute
