I got your Ansel puzzle after solving the wil’s lotus box. I was worried about a follow up. Your puzzle did not disappoint. Looking forward to you and Sara’s next creation.
Useless fact of the day: I grew up 175kms from Yosemite where Ansel Adams took most of his pics-the famous ones anyways. It’s a amazing place. Fun puzzle, I really like this type of puzzle
Mr.Puzzle it’s an amazing place. I haven’t been there in years yet I’m a 5-6 hour drive away. When I was growing up I went there and surrounding area many many times in 70’s-80’s camping. Hope you enjoyed it!
My father learned from Ansel Adams about photography. I still remember the black and white photos he took. Nice to see a puzzle in homage of Ansel Adams. I hope more people see his amazing photographs.
“Ball bearing” is a compound noun. It is a single word. Plural ball bearings. In the puzzle context you could also call them bbs (bee bees) even though they are not necessarily bb-sized nor intended to be shot.
The question is whether "ball bearing" can only be used to refer to the whole bearing mechanism, or if it can also refer to the individual metal spheres. The dictionary says it can be used for both things: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ball%20bearing
@@pbp6741 You get one guess what BBs is shorthand for. LOL Technically you're kind of right, but almost everyone miscalls bearing-balls as ball-bearings.
@@ezion67 I agree. It should be bearing balls but conventions says the opposite. Then we have ball race for assembled bearing etc, etc. The finer points can be discussed by engineers and mechanics but the general public is happy with short hand
It must be very gratifying for a designer to see Mr Puzzle think his way through to a solution rather than watching someone behaving like a toddler having a temper tantrum and just banging things on the table till something breaks. Some people treat Life the same way, you know... ;-)
Love watching your vids you explane how they work which is what I want to know it's half the fun solving the puzzle and the other half is knowing how they work
The puzzle looks amazing and solid. I was very surprised that the puzzle was not easily solved. Really enjoy watching you solving this pretty difficult puzzle. Also, love your drawing.
As I said, I tried but the layers are glued. The picture I made comes very close thought. Only the channel through I've drawn is ending inside the slider.
Dear Mr. Puzzle, I'm looking for a toy that I thought I saw briefly featured in one of your videos. It was metal, It had gears that turned into themselves. It looked impossible. I think it was bolt shaped and 4 inches long. I cant seem to find it. Thanks for your reviews
Is there a main online community for puzzles like this? A subreddit, discord, website, forum, or something? Cos every time I find out any of these puzzles exist they are sold out. Even if I wanted to I couldn't get any of them.
Anyone who calls a single ball (steel, plastic or glass) a ball bearing doesn't know what they are talking about. A ball bearing is an assembly that uses several "bearing balls" captured between an inner race and an outer race. Not all metal balls are suitable for use in bearings so it is probably best to just call them balls and eliminate the bearing ball/ball bearing debate.
Glad you enjoyed it! It’s very fun to see the thought process. And your drawing is very close, so well done!
Thanks a lot! Great design and puzzle!

So I have to ask, was that last line on the instruction card inspired by Mr.Puzzle overpuzzling that one time?
Love the puzzle, great seeing proper wood being used
Dargonhuman it was not :) there’s a spring pushing against the one bolt that can make it annoying to put the bolt back once removed.
As I learned now the real mechanism comes very close and can be solved as I assumed.
Of course!
You figure out all these puzzles. Or have X-ray glasses for some help!! J/K 😀

wbfaulk Generally, specified as loose ball bearings or as steel balls, nylon balls, etc. Or again, when context is clear, BBs.

ezion67 Figure I already answered that one when I said, “... not necessarily bb-sized nor intended to be SHOT.”

Would have liked it taken apart to see the innards, if it was how you visualized it.

What a fun idea. I like this a lot.
I've been watching you for a long time and i'm never not amazed by your analytic thinking !! Wow so smart
I just solved this a few hours ago. Great little puzzle. Really looking forward to Brandon’s next puzzle.

Now I leave Chris Ramsay and watch your puzzle solving because you find the solution by investigating, not just guessing

Your intros are very well done Mr Puzzle - but I have to confess I do skip them now to get straight to the puzzle, sorry!
Ahhh, the intro is only 25 seconds. 😁
Are you ok? Getting slightly worried not having heard anything from you in over 2 weeks. Please stay safe!
Where has Mr Puzzle gone?
Thought this was one of those trendy wallets for a second
wait was this puzzle named after me?!!
Hey Mr.puzzle, is a follow up on the impossible planet puzzle coming soon?
Have you contacted Hanayama yet?
That thing took you an hour to solve and you gave it a 4? How about 4.8 or something?
We seriously need someone to make a real life Yugi's Millenium Puzzle fully made out of metal...
Very cool how the solved puzzle resembles a camera.
Awesome Idea to name a Camera Themed puzzle "Ansel". Something for the young folks to google and be astonished.
I think the difficulty level you gave it was a little high, but you were the one who solved it so I must trust you 😂
Silly man. Cameras have a flash and that view finder below so that's how it would work.
Smartass!

I would think that if you don't want the nuts and bolts undone, you'd glue them.
