Hello my best teacher muchas gracias ❤❤
Me gustas, muchas gracias 👍🤲✋💐
I just found your channel and subscribed you. I hope i will learn.
Great teaching via comparison, btw is it Colombian or Mexican Spanish?
It’s Mexican 🤗
When referring to I, why do some sentences use Yo and others use Me?
Would be nice if someone explained this. Just irritating
"Me" is used next to verbs or with verbs. Hope that helps.
@@heimstaden4588 Yo quiero.... quiero is want and want is a verb.
@@thealternativecontrarian9936 "Soy" is a verb: am
"Yo" is the subject of a sentence: Yo soy quien responde.
"Me" can never be used as the subject. Me is a substitute of yo, and is always placed near the verb: Mírame = Look at me; ¿Por qué no me miras? = Why don´t you look at me?
One is passive, To translate mi gusta to English is more to be liked by me
Lilana, this structure confuses me because « me » is not the subject. The subject is « I » which is not expressed. Thus Me levanto temprano would literally translate as « Me, I get up early. » yes or no?
"Me levanto temprano" would be translated as "I get up early/I wake up early", that's because "Me" in Spanish refers to the 1st person singular (you perform the action on yourself).
That's why if you change "me" for "te" it would mean "I wake YOU up early" instead since "te" refers to the second person singular.
Muy bien
A mi me gusta ese clase
You are the best lilly❤❤
Some questions desde=from and other times for=de. How do I decide which one to use? Thank you
Hello everyone from Tajikistan - Hallo an alle aus Tadschikistan.
Hola 🤗
@@SpanishWithLiliana Hola Hola 👍

I just came across this video and ❤I love it!!! ❤
New subscriber here!!!😉
By the way, I share this video with my daughter to check it out.👍
Awesome! Thank you! 😊
Thank you for the video, I have a question about When you say Yo, is it pronounced like Joe? The Y sounds like a J? Thank you for your help.
Yes, she's saying a soft J sound when she pronounces J and LL. That's just part a regional accent. There are many variations of Spanish pronunciation & lots of ppl use this pronunciation of J & LL. Extremely common. It's kind of like when some Americans pronounce some words ending in A like there's a R there, like "idear". I pronounce the J & LL with the true Y sound.
I have this same question too. Thanks for the clarification.@LauraReyna_Scribe

Awesome hope YT pushes algo
Now it is one thing learning how to know the vocabulary and putting sentences together, but an entirely different difficulty understanding what somebody says to you in Spanish. I so wish there was a direct source that is top notch on learning Spanish all the way around because my fiance speaks Spanish and I am still terrible! 😢😢😢
i have been really confused when to use 'Yo' and when to use 'Me'...can any one help me with that?
Me too
Yo too
"Yo" means I but "me" is something like myself. It's used when you have reflexive verbs- for example full word to get up is "levantarse" and "se" is basically the part you must change depending on the person. For we it will be "nos" and for I it is "me". (Pro tip: using me, se, and nos is necessary but yo sounds unnatural for natives. Mostly they just skip that word because you know that based on the context)
I am subscribed. Is this Latin American Spanish?
From Mexico 🇲🇽
Trabajo en army
5:17 Juan Cena!
Im curious, "they" can be "ellos" or "ellas" depending on the gender. But what if "they" are both men and women you are referring to?
For a mixed group, we would say ‘ellos’ 👍
If (me encantaría) means I would love at 30:35 why at 31:18 its (me gustaría ) but we have established me gustaría to mean I would like am I missing something?
Sorry for the confusion, you have it correct. I would love is me encantaría and I would like is me gustaría.
😍😍
Hello i had a question
Why cant we use ser for deliciosa ?
For deliciosa/o, you can actually use both. 🤗
Why is a “a mi” used with: I love my family? Yo amo a mi familia. Is there a rule as to when you add an. “a”? Thank you
There is a rule to use the personal "a" for people. I talk about it on this video: ua-cam.com/video/5qH2M2w0WTY/v-deo.html
Hope it helps! 🤗

There needs to be a larger gap between the question and answer so you can have a go before the answer is given. Good content though.
Can you give the Castellano pronunciation 🇪🇸of words as well as the Mexican Spanish? 🇲🇽😊
I would do a disservice to my Spaniards friends 🤗
Would this be Latin American or Spain’s Spanish?
From Mexico more specifically 🤗
would it be correct to say yo necisito que dormir?
In this case, it is not correct. You can just say "necesito dormir" and that's all.
If you want to say I have to sleep, then you would use "Tengo que dormir" there.
I hope this helps 🤗
Teaching my wife’s mom Spanish this is great but I did get thrown off when you said “ will you come to the party tomorrow night” I’ve never heard the word vendras we usually say “Vas a venir a la fiesta mañana por la noche?”
Yes, so officially will you come translates to vendrás, which is the future simple but in day to day conversation we use the present simple a lot. Thanks for watching! 🤗
Wonderful!!! I am an American PenDeHO! Do NOT tell anyone! LOL! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
😂
When you pronounce "Yo", it sounds like a J in the front. So Jo is what I hear. Is that correct?
I’m from Mexico and the y and ll sound like the English j but it varies in different countries. And also with each person’s accent. Thanks!
@@SpanishWithLiliana Got it!
Where were you last night.. shouldn't we use estuviste instead of estabas? It's something happened, done so we should use imperfecto?
Yes, you’re right. You could add more detail to ‘estabas’ but in English it’s the same for both.
What is the difference between estuvo and estaba?
Is this program Latin American
I go to the bathroom.
Yo voy al bano.
But why isn't it 'Yo voy del bano?" Why does it switch from del to al?
al is the contracted form of a el, which means to the, as in “to the bathroom.”
at 4:08 i thought to drink is beber? and tomar is to take
Both beber and tomar mean to drink, but tomar can also mean to take. Context is very important here. Thanks!
When did we use YO and ME? I don't understand
what dialect of spanish is this?
I would also like to know. Liliana is pronouncing “ll” as “ j” instead of as a “y.” Like how the people in Colombia pronounce Medellin as “ MedeJEEN” instead of “MedeYEEN.” I like her teaching method but the pronounciation of “ll” as “j” is throwing my “ear” off
I'm from Mexico but I've been in the USA for 20 years now so I've developed an accent. It does vary in different countries. Thanks for watching!
Same thought, muchas gracias por la puntualización.😅
Eso es difícil 😩
Are you teaching Mexican Spanish
Yes 👍
mis dientes or los dientes when referring to parts of your body.
You can use either, thanks!
Where are you from Liliana? You pronounce “ll” as “j” which I’m not familiar with
I'm from Mexico 🇲🇽
*how is "office" **_feminine?_*
La oficina
@@abetterconsumer i'm trying to understand how the word "office" is feminine? what makes it "girly?" why not just "le" office; men _also_ have offices..
As a general rule, nouns ending in ‘a’ are feminine. There are exceptions but this is a good way to start 👍
Grammar gender is not like girly or manly gender….like the way we describe people
