A boring day in the life of Steve Wallis (Camping With Steve)

- Back in 2023 I was visiting with Steve and had the idea to film a bunch of b-roll type footage showing what it's like behind the scenes. Sometimes it can be pretty boring as he's a normal person that does normal people stuff, in addition to all the camping.
@campingwithsteve is his channel
This video is almost half an hour long. You will not get this time back.
Note: audio kinda sucks in some places, I didn't really know what I was doing with my camera (I was new to it).
Enjoy!

You give us paycheque to paycheque people hope. If we ever have to hunker down, you showed us the way. Calm in the face of adversity and the reassurance in your voice while you plan the process, this is what makes you great and what keeps us coming back for more. A special thanks for introducing us all to crazy neighbour glen.
🖖
I am "hiding" this here. The guy that falls over out of nowhere 16:52 I would love some context.
@@Ketobbey same!
I just watched 20 minutes of Steve driving, going through drive thrus and sitting in his hotel room and I was thoroughly entertained! Thanks for the behind the scenes look at what he goes through trying to put out some content for us needy viewers!
in retrospect I can't believe I filmed an entire car wash lol but oh well I'm glad you liked it
Me too!!!
Right me too I love this lol
Can we talk about how many extra large coffees you ordered in the span of 28 minutes lol
@alexxchaos Kind of a neat, chill vibe! Only problem is that NOW I want a great big Mickey D's coffee with cream and sugar, but it's 2:30 am where I am, and I've not even been to sleep yet! (Well, that plus real coffee kicks me into afib nowadays!) So sad...Back in the day, coffee was my 'drug of choice' and I really didn't think my car would run without it. Fun, giddy times! Steve, I think you missed some possible stealth spots way up in some of those tall fir trees I saw. You'd have to use one of those crazy rockface tents, though, and cooking up there might not be possible, lol. Maybe 'PBJ in the Sky'?
My husband & I have been watching your UA-cam "life" for several years. You have walked through very difficult times these past few years and times like those change a person forever. We are proud of you and appreciate your "boring day" videos just as much as your stealth camping videos. We LOVED the 70's video with your new camper. 😎😎That was fun! Keep on keeping on! I hope you embrace each day and enjoy the love that you get from your close family & friends as well as us strangers in UA-cam world. God bless you!!
I don't think Steve grasps his popularity. Just a normal dude, with millions who adore him.
I am 69 years old woman and just spent the night in our 1978 camper on lake Superior. With a huge Blizzard. Couldn't warm the camper up any higher than 39 degrees. But I loved every second of it
This is the kind of video we've asked for for years. Steve doing just about anything is the calmest joy, he's got a quality that's hard to find, and it's so likeable.
We all love Steve.
Oh yes. Yes we do! ❤
This was awesome. “This is not really great content, you understand that right?” Yes it is, Steve. You are both appreciated
Thanks for letting us hang out with you.
Pure Steve ASMR. This video should be ten plus hours long.
Absolutely enthralling content! Even if it's just 30 minutes almost of Steve just being Steve.
3 videos in one week!!! Going to buy a lotto ticket today!
And a Thursday upload coming, we all should get lotto tickets 😂
This has the most OG Steve Wallis: Boondocking documentary vibes, since the OG Steve Wallis: Boondocking documentary.
Always have loved Steve's videos, Never boring to me...
The fear we have of being boring when in front of a camera or microphone is one of the most irrational things that seems to plague everyone doing it... There's no need at all. Silence is golden. Liminal times are what makes life... When my friends are in foreign places, I ask them to send me photos of the alleyways and the street kerbs, not the smiley ones in restaurants... It's the moments inbetween that hold life together, and should be enjoyed and shared just as much.
🎯🎯🎯🎯
Thank you Steve your videos have a little something of interest for everyone. I'm 73 years old can't get out and about much anymore. Your videos trigger memories of my past travels. I was born in Detroit Michigan I was never in the house. I can't even begin to list the thousands of things to do and see in my city for adults and children. The bleachers for tigers basketball game were .50 cents I never missed a game. I even took the bus to Canada as a kid it was a different time in the world then . I was the first born in a big Irish Catholic family had family/friends across the world. I wasn't ever in any kind of trouble with so many brothers and sisters my parents never got any bad reports. Between My Schwinn bicycle with a City license plate, public transportation, hitching rides, public libraries, the world was at your finger tips . This statement might bring out the negative trolls. Capitalism without any kind of social responsibility destroys countries. Have a most wonderful day Steve 😊
What's going on here! Why is Steve not camping? Why is this 2023? Why is this not Steve's Chanel??
What Chanel is this!!?
I love it!
This has the feel of Trailer Park Boys where Julian hires a camera crew to film him 24 hours a day. LOL
Right ✅️ I totally felt Steve's uncomfortableness during his pizza 🍕 eating scene though. 😂
Hahaha that's true 👍
I just come here to say this had major trailer park boys vibes haha
This was obviously from a different point in his life. Steve is a remarkable , wonderful soul and I would do almost anything to spend a boring day with him. Thanks for the memory .
He’s a alcoholic scuzz ball
Me too man

Hope you had a wonderful birthday 🙏🏻🫂🤟🏻🫶🏻
Thank you all!🎉😊 It was a great day ☺️
Happy birthday!
Very cool to ride with Steve in the car, looking over possible sites for stealth. Loved the ocean scene, going through the car wash, and walking on the bridge over the river. Thanks for the behind the scenes.
steve critiquing every part of the car wash cracked me up
No matter what it is, I love watching you do whatever Steve. There is just a certain allure about you that we can't get enough of. You are a genuinely good person and we are drawn to you. 👍😊♥️
All the great ones need to relax at some point! 🙂 Thanks for sharing. Is the guy who fell near the Frost fence ok? That was weird - like stumbling on gravel.... have a nice day! 🙂
This was awesome. I always love watching your videos. Gets me out of the house. Feel as if I accomplished something from the couch. Lol. Thanks Steve. ❤
This video has helped me put my finger on a few of the reasons why we like Steve, and a few of the reasons why Steve seems like such a good companion. I'll mention the major one: Steve is in the know. He's been doing stuff like this for years, knows how to find good spots and knows how to make really effective use of those spots. So when you roll with Steve, there's a sense of direction even when you are both lost or aimless.
I think I can embody these qualities for others someday, though I am not nearly social enough to do it now. Having this line of thinking has also made me realize how I can get started: By camping in my yard! It's finally warming up enough for me to do that.
Steve is like the benchmark that we all try to achieve.Great video.
Being a drunk alcoholic scuzzball that gets off by camping is really much of a achievement
Canada and the United States really has some beautiful scenery and nature.
All kidding aside when Steve doesn’t do videos for several weeks there should be more videos just like this and when Steve does do weekly videos this stuff should be a bonus! Steve this a great content and that dude falling flat on his back is good entertainment!
That coffee went a long way. Nice day for a walk.
Man... hearing where he is and seeing him I miss home! so many places I know Dammit I need a trip back to the island!! Thanks for sharing this!
Damn sight more interesting than my day of washing bed sheets, hoovering, dusting etc....
The suds hitting your car brought back a memory of the day a Pigeon or Sea gull SHAT on my head and shoulder.. must be BSSD .. thanks Steve ❤😂
Couldn’t sleep got up to have a sleepytime tea & found another one, wow, color me happy.
This is so cool video. I would watch more of these kind of videos too. So nest.
Steve seems pretty chill
Thanks …….again. A new genre of Steve, with the same relaxation while watching.
About the car wash before driving on the gravel, possibly wet roads, hhhhmmmm.
Ive been watching steve from almost the start ,hrs gone through so much sadness in his life and still pulled through it all, its class to see his channel grow as he has done ❤ im watching from Ireland and if i was there id help him in any way i could hes pne amazing person to do what hes doing and to get the time to have so many good people and friends around him thanks for this video it goves us an insight into his life that he hasn't had to edit himself best wosh to you both
Wth happened to bro @ 17:05 ???😂😂😂 So random and hillarious made me spit my drink out!
You rock Steve 🤘 glad to see u on the island!
That's what I was wondering
Actually it was very entertaining. The car wash and what was going through your head had me laughing. Now when Scott fell down, I had to back the video up and rewatch. I got tickled the second time at your reaction to his tumbling into the fence. Your reaction was like you expected that to happen and no jumping away from him. What did he trip over? His wife's giggles made funny. I really did enjoy this video. When you all were at the beach and curling the driftwood "lodge" was this the first time or are you thinking of trying it again? Beautiful, Beautiful countryside. Thank you all for this. You may think it was boring and I'm sure it can be, but for those of us who enjoy the adventures it was Great 👍👍😄
I was standing on a very uneven picnic table and when I moved to the end it became unstable and rolled me off. 😂😂😂
@scottkyba 😄I'm just glad you are ok and didn't get hurt.
You look like you've worked on yourself. I'm glad to see.
All the best for you Steve!
This is an old video.
Some of those spots on your video reminded me of your Boondocking days Steve 👍.
Cool places Steve.
Beautiful country and scenic views.
Pretty country! Anything with Steve in it is good! Thanks for sharing 😌
That was such a great trip! He took us to so many cool spots that week. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. And thanks for leaving in the clip of me falling off that picnic table.
It was an important part haha
The role was pretty good lol hope you didn’t get hurt though
very cool video you do alot for us so we can watch your stuff ty ty
I actually enjoyed this behind the scene video! Hope you do more of them.
We love all your videos Steve! There was nothing boring about this one. If anything it just makes you even more relatable. Keep being you brother! You're an inspiration whether you know it or not. 💪
Watching the Stealth Camping Icon himself in the lead up to carrying out yet another great video was just brilliant! The work behind the scenes are so interesting to watch. Great job again Steve 🇦🇺
At least your driving. My car is in the shop for a manifold replacement. So, I'm spending my expensively boring day watching your beautifully boring day driving around. It does look like BC which makes me happy. Thanks as always for making the video Steve.
Classic Camping With Steve, thanks for the video.
Welcome to With Steve.
darn, I was hoping this was a new channel for him, one of the new vlog style channels. Alas! But how cool!
He lost the love of his life in August 2023. 😢
I think there was a time he just needed to step away and regain his bearings.
I met him shopping at Safeway. As I was passing him down an aisle I said " Hunker Down". Need a "Step 2" after this. 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Stopped and briefly spoke to him. He seemed very nice. Spoke about his upcoming episode with an ebike.
The loss of his Mom.😢
Then the loss of " Neighbor". 😪
Good Luck, Steve!
There is a lot of sadness in all of our lives...you campinig with Steve simps need to get over it. Steve keeps milking it for all it is worth.
We could watch Steve all day. 😉 His fans are some of the best!
Nice behind the scenes
Get your mind out of the gutter Steve. Lol. I definitely need to go to the car wash today though I've never thought of it like that.
