That is one of the best coops I have ever seen! You should be very proud.
This would be perfect for me. I love that you’re so knowledgeable on chickens in general, even knowing your breeds. That knowledge has definitely paid off in the design
Thank you Laura. We are chicken keepers too, and our designs are based on what we know people and chickens need, and of course, inspiration from our customers who have different needs. That is what really helps drive our innovations. Thank you for your comments.
awesome. wish I had the money to go to Chicago for a weekend and come back and have that just in my backyard
this chicken coop is so well made that even i would live inside it. kkkkkk. Congratulations
This is the nicest small scale coop Ive seen. Nice job!
Love the Carolina Coop design along with the solar panel, water barrow watering system! Looking forward to ordering one along with the industrial hemp!
Really nice, beautiful coop....really put alot of thought into this. Good job...
That is a top of the line, beautiful coop
Beautiful building for chicken run.
Perfect and beautiful, too! We are building one now, too...
Looks like you have solved many challenges for the back yard chicken coop enthusiast.
I live in Northern Michigan with heavy snow on the ground for 4-5 months. The flock is in a pole barn with a outside run. I light parts of the barn and get eggs all winter. I use 7 watt bulbs to give them a little light in their rooting boxes. Hey, if they Happy, they give you eggs.
Very nice!
So awesome
Awesome chicken palace.
I love it.

Beautiful coop! I'm going through chemotherapy & unable to work so that will have to wait!

Dang, I like the chickens out of this coop!!! Man you really did an awesome job on this. But no price, scared to let us know, huh? 😎. Seriously really love this build!
We are never scared to let people know our pricing it is all on our website at www.carolinacoops.com every coop is different based on options included and location of the coop delivery and we also respect the privacy of our customers.
Bob Wieters went to the link but had some issues finding prices.
Base model of this coop starts at $3,960....Really nice coop, if I had the extra money, I'd get one!

Love your coops, but have an 8 x 20 run and just would like to add your hen house into my coop or off the side.
That is a really nice looking chicken coop. Seeing how the cost is over 15K .... I don't think my chickens will ever get to live in one.....LOL
Beautiful coops. I just couldn't justify the price, but there are plenty of people that don't mind. Where I live we can only have 6 chickens. That would make each egg cost prohibitive for sure. I have my chickens inside a shop that was existing on the property, and I screened off an area outside they get to through the window. Your coop is a quality build for sure, and I am sure it would last many many years.
That is one of the nicest chicken coops ever. Where can I get the plans?
Love that coop, wish shipping to Oregon was not so expensive.
You would be surprised. We ship to the west coast all the time. Just let me know if you would like a price to ship one of these coops to you.
We would just need a delivery zip code and what size coop and I can offer a freight estimate!

This is the most Gucci coop on the planet, amazing
12-14 standard sized hens or more if you incorporate bantams!
Love this coop but it cost a lot and also I live in Australia
Your chicken coop has wifi?!! Wifi?!! Wow. That's freakin amazing! Are your chicks UA-cam content creators too?!!
In Florida the structure would have to be bolted to the foundation, on account of the hurricanes down here.Thank God you live in Wisconsin.
wow

That one coup I wouldn't flew. Need one in Costa Rica.....with skeeter nets
The chickens aren't bothered by mosquitoes. Also, like all pests, we suggest making sure the environment isn't hospitable for them, so for mosquitoes it's important to eliminate standing water. Which is another reason we love our poultry watering system with a waterbar. Thanks for watching.
It looks more technological than my home.
Big, small, modest and elaborate... we do it all!!! Thanks for watching!
In NE OHIO you need a door on your coop too for weather.
de la gran 7 excelente donde consigo uno igual
Awesome coop! How much do u sell them for? I wish I could get one. My husband is overseas. For now I ordered a coop thru Tractor Supply but the wood is soo flimsy.
No air conditioning a little OCD don't you think love the coop best on UA-cam
sliding windows are nice... Maybe would be better if you could open the windows on the outside without having to walk through the coop??
What is that wood bar for in the hen house?
Do you sell the plans for that model? I live in California and would love to either build it or buy it.
That's a stunning hen house you have built. What's the price without the: solar and battery, lights, feeder, wiring, auto door, gutter water, barrel, predator apron, etc. Just the house and and run ? Ballpark ? Thanks.
august thank you. All of our pricing is on our website at carolinacoops.com
Thanks for watching!
You're welcome, your coops are works of art !! Beautiful to say the least.
How much would that unit cost if I had you install it in Pelzer South Carolina? Can you give me a ballpark?
What type of chickens produce the best tasting eggs, and which type of chickens produce the best tasting meat, and can you house them together without them cross breeding?
where can you get the black hardware cloth?
what is the best base to put in the run ? D G? Clay? etc....thanks for your help
we love just plain old dirt in the run. little to no maintenance when chicken vs run space is correct and no additional work for the caretaker/owner.
Apologize in advance for the novice question, but here it is: so, the battery operated door, is it for sensing when chickens are in front of it? Or you just set a daily timer for when chickens can free range?
Regarding the free ranging question, once the chickens are out of the coop, how does the farmer/keeper rally them back inside?
Just a bit confused when you were discussing free range and had the battery operated sliding door.
I'm thinking:
1. Chickens wont come back in unless chased by a predator
2. Should we not build a fenced in area they can free range in outside of the coop
Thx in advance for your answers. Your designs and responses are always spot on!
We will always suggest free ranging as much as you can. The battery operated door is set with a timer. You can set the "open time" to whenever you'd like but the "close time" should be when it gets dark outside. No need for wrangling chickens back into the coop... they will naturally want to go back to their "Home" to roost and sleep!
Hope this helped! Thanks for watching!
Advice here to viewers. You DO need a door to the coop itself unless you have heavy weight hardware cloth on the bottom floor of the run ( possibly topped with pavers.) Predators dig. The dig right under the run and get fresh chicken dinner at night.
We do apply an apron around the entire perimeter! We do not suggest applying hardware cloth to the floor of the coop as when the chickens are scratching around, they can pull a nail on that wire or even get their foot caught! The surrounding apron is a great barrier for burrowing predators. We have has ZERO "break ins" over the last 8 years of using this application on our coops for most of our clients.
Carolina Coops Service I should have elaborated. I have my run on 2-high 6" x6" railroad tie foundation. the bottom is lined with extra strong 1/2" hardware cloth then filled in with 12" of construction sand. they don't dig that far. As far as zero break ins you may be in an area that reduces the provability of that. I live in the woods and predators feel quite brave to do whatever is necessary to get in. I buried a dead chick a foot down and by morning the raccoons had dug it up and all that was left was the container I buried it in.
We often put our coops up on "foundations", we still apply the apron around the entire perimeter. As for predators, everyone has them and yes, they can be persistent. Once they know of a food source location, they will typically continue to go back to that location until there is nothing left or the predator animal is removed from the area. If your run is not protected, then yes, you should have a chicken door that you can close at night. But, if you do have the run protected, then your chicken door need not be closed. We have not had a break in 8 years with an apron applied correctly.
I don't see a predator getting under the apron. Aprons work pretty much for everyone who uses them. It is difficult for a predator to burrow horizontally under such a wide apron as apposed to something narrow like a fence. Besides they will usually give up trying to dig, and then you have time to fill the area back in. When in doubt surround the area with privet hedges that will produce roots that become difficult to get through. Monkey grass growing through the skirt also makes the area extremely difficult to get through.
Can this type of water system work in the northeast winters?
peter fein Yes. I live in the north east (upstate NY) and my system works perfectly even with temps below 0 degrees F.
How many chickens can I put in this chicken coop?
What do you do if you live in hurricane country?
How many chicken can or should the house hold ? To make it comfortable for the chicken ? I like do like it .
It would hold 12 chickens comfortably. The henhouse has two 6 foot roost bars, so that would give the chickens one foot per bird on the roost bars. Smaller chickens like bantams would need less roost bar space. Thanks for watching.
how many chickens would u recommend for this size coop ? if they were not to free range .or if they could free range a few hours a day
Id say 12-14 if they are not able to free range.
Thanks for watching!

Does the fencing material keep flys out?
Aurora's Water Culture Orchids no but if you have a high level of fly activity inside your run or henhouse add carbon or reduce the nitrogen
What is the height between the hen house and the ground? To hang the feeders
Como eu cheguei ate aqui ?
Do you ship in Pakistan ?Its awesome.

I like metal roof design over laying bins but looks hazardous with sharp metal edge children might run into edge. I would rethink that roofing edge. Before somebody loses an eye. Lol
Great Coop...can you privet message me with price of the one shown here.?
Hi! Please send a price request via email to SERVICE@CAROLINACOOPS.COM
Thank You!
What are all of the dimensions of this awesome coop?
That is a nice coop, but I want to see it after the chickens have been in it for a year. It will be full of cobwebs and dust as poultry are dusty. Also there going to roost on that battery and cover it with litter. Predators will be under that fence in one night need something more secure.
Hi Scott and thank you for watching our video. If I am back out to Wisconsin in a year i will be very happy to get another video of it. we have found that the chickens don't roost on the battery box at all and that they prefer other choices that are offered to them like actual roost bars placed in the run for the day time and of course the roost bars that are at the highest point inside the hen house. Not sure what you mean by "predators will be under that fence in one night". There is a predator apron that we installed around the run to keep predators from ever digging underneath the coop. Knock on wood we have several hundreds of coops all over America and into Canada with the predator apron system and we have never once had a predator issue.
You are correct about the cobwebs. Spiders are attracted to anything that offers them plenty of food. Chickens attract flies. Even with my deep litter the fresh droppings attract flies in the summer, which in turn attract spiders. I welcome the spiders because they keep the flies down.
prices on the Web site just look. I was taken back by the clean it out once a year comment? there'd be a thousand pounds of poo in a year.
chicken droppings consist of a lot of liquid. Once it dries, it should start to decompose leaving not much behind.
How many hens and roosters does it hold?
This hen house is designed to house about 12-16 depending on breed and size. This client free ranges for most of the day but, if you had to keep your flock enclosed at all times, we would only suggest 10-11.
Thanks for watching!
Who long and wide this chicken house??
The henhouse is 4'x6' the entire coop with the run is 6' x 18'. Thanks for watching.
How many chickens does it hold? How much?
