I have a little love story for you guys about my rabbits. So a couple months after I moved to Denmark I got two rabbits. They got along so well together and they would snuggle together. We later found out it was a female and a male. We thought she might be pregnant and we waited 5 weeks, and nothing. We never thought much if it after that and let them stay together. One Sunday morning we were getting ready to leave for a race and I run down to feed her before we go. Behold, I see a bundle of fur in the corner so I closed a gate (they have like a yard and then a house type of thing) and pulled out the tray and looked under the fur. 9 healthy babies! All were alive and healthy and a nice pink Color, there was a little blood around but I am pretty sure that’s just from giving birth. It was a really big litter (extra info, mama is a dwarf ram and papa is half dwarf ram and half dwarf rabbit) and I ran over to my mum and we were all so surprised. They are all gone now in their new families! We kept one though! Her name is angel and she is about a year now (yeah it was a long time ago!) and her mom and her didn’t get along so they have separate cages and a middle cage they take turns in being in (they both have a tunnel they can crawl through to get there and there are gates in that tunnel). Now we know that one of my neighbours has a male rabbit (oh btw papa rabbit is no longer able to make babies) so we today will go down there and ask them if they would like to lend us their male so we can have a proper planned pregnancy. My mum is home now so that’s what I will be doing now! Cya!
Slightly Rednecked aha thanks for reading it all but yeah! The person we just visited gave their bunny away but my mums friend knows someone that might have a male so we will see how it goes!

If a female mates twice in the time frame of about a week, is it possible the babies will die? I thought I read somewhere that they might. My male rabbit has been getting out at night which is when we let our female roam and it's happened about two times now in the past week. They're not hostile to each other and are quite friendly so I'd assume they mated both times.
I really enjoy your content. I need your help. I bought a rabbit and was assured she was expecting. I am inexperienced but I'm excited to learn more. We were given a date as to when she would have babies; we gave it an additional week and still nothing ☹. The guy we got her from said we could bring her back to mate, but we're not so sure cuz his rabbits have mites (so did ours, but you taught us how to treat that, and it worked 😊😊)... I'm so skeptic to return to his place, but I'm getting anxious... Advice?
Thank you for watching my videos. If the rabbit has gone more than a week past her due date she probably isn't pregnant. If you want to get her bred again and don't have access to another buck, I wouldn't be too concerned about taking her back to get her bred. If you do end up with mites again you can just treat her for them. Chances are, she will get mites again eventually anyway. It is a very common thing for rabbits to get. I hope that helps.
I had two rabbits and my family didn't know the other was a male rabbit until my dad checked recently. The male rabbit was on top of my female rabbit and my mom tried to take him away but he was just frozen. My mom picked up the female rabbit and she had some blood from her genital area. Is that an indication that she got impregnated?
@@Slightlyrednecked so here's an update on what happened. Turns out, she already had babies that were like 3 weeks old. She passed away from bleeding too much and now it's just the bunnies and this other female rabbit.
@@Slightlyrednecked I know. Cause I was searching to know of my rabbit is pregnant cause she's been so mean lately but I never knew my brother's rabbit was. She gave birth to 5 babies and sadly, 2 died. We had to call the vet cause we were really clueless. We were crying bout the loss but we are thankful for the new babies
You're such a good teacher, Chris. Love your videos! How long should I keep them apart? Have had my two rabbits together since I got them, 6 months ago. Just separated them, waited three days, nothing. Thanks again, any advice helpful.
I have a rabbit that dug a tunnell and fill it with hay, But I dont have a male rabbit. Could a wild rabbit made it in to my pen or do they do tjis some time?
My rabbits stomach was hard when she was pregnant, also she grunted a lot if you went near her. She did eat a lot and put on weight. And picked up lots of grass in her mouth to help her build a nest
Uhm so I have a cage that has a second floor and the stairs had a wood block covering the top but my male rabbit is strong so he pushed it up and got to my female rabbit last night I am scared she might be pregnant and have kits but I am not sure, she is a mean rabbit and is acting nicer I am scared
My rabbit gave birth to two kits last month without us knowing ,but sadly they passed away. She got pregnant AGAIN by the time we realised that the “girl” rabbit we bought (because our other one died and we wanted a friend for her) was actually a BOY. So now she is pregnant and I am feeling around 8 grape sized things in her stomach. My question is, why is she not moving for her position? Like, she is not very lively and she looks very tired. Thanks, enjoyed the video!
it could be that she is pretty tired. Chances are she got pregnant right after giving birth to the other babies and that can be taxing on any animal. Don't worry though, she should be just fine.
I got 4 fall offs but i cant feel the babies in her stomach. She is grumpier and her eating is the same. She has also gotten a little bit bigger. What do u think? She has about 10 days till birh
Great tips thanks! I couldn't quite feel but I know I breed her well 28 days ago and the last week she has been eating hay like crazy. She use to go through one fill up a day or two now almost every 12 hrs the hay is gone....eaten not played with. She also is more friendly letting me pet her where before it was more skittish. Lastly she is visibly fatter around the gut. She also tried using her hay for nesting material so on day 23 I added the nest box which she angrily accepted and I gave nest material which she added inside. First time satin mom btw so any day now! Thanks for the tips sounds like a pregnant woman lol. Wants weird food, mood swing, and big gut 😉😅
Will you sometimes feel a kick? I had my thumb a little higher on her belly and I thought I felt a kick but I'm not sure if that could have been a kick because of how high my thumb was on her belly and I didn't feel any grapes but I may not have had enough pressure on.
I rescued a bunny a month ago. She was abandoned and yea.... She is just taking her fur and throwing on the ground wherever she find.... I don't know if she is pregnant and she doesn't like to be picked up but likes a lot to cuddle with her I'm a little scared because I'm finding fur in her mouth but also a lot of fur on the ground.... Can someone tell if she is pregnant?
Idk if my bunny is pregnant, i mean the last couple of days she has been like running/jumping around and she always runs after me and sits on my foot :/
My rabbit just picked up a heap of hay and has made a nest with it. She is usually a pig with food but only ate a little today and is busy making her nest. Im not sure if it’s her first litter as I found her running around the streets (she is very friendly tho) I was just curious as to how often they have failed litters? I’m really hoping that everything goes well.
It isn't that uncommon for a rabbit to have a false pregnancy. If she hasn't had any babies in the next day or two I would consider it a false pregnancy for sure. Good luck with them. I hope it all goes well.
Slightly Rednecked, she had babies! Another important thing I should have said is that there was a male with her too, (I have him now) so I kinda knew she was pregnant since she was very fat and was living with a domestic male rabbit. I was more so asking how often they have trouble with birth/ keeping the babies alive but she’s doing an excellent job so far.
Charissa Harvey is there anything you did to prep for her babies/made sure she had a safe and successful delivery? My bunny might be pregnant and I’m a little nervous 😅
I am sorry but I don't know that I can help much. Trying to diagnose an illness over youtube comments is very hard to do. There are so many things that could be causing it. I would start by just keeping an eye on her, making sure she continues to eat and drink and that her stool is normal. I hope she gets better quickly.
My rabbit usually a big eater but lately she start to spill her water and food, and she looks very anxious about her surrounding. I’m not sure if she’s pregnant or she just stressed but when i put the male inside her cage she start to run away and hide and when I tried to touch her belly to check if she have babies or not she always avoiding me, can someone tell me? I’m very confused :(
Has your rabbit recently experienced change in habitat or something else? Does she have toys to play with? That may be why she's knocking over her food and water, she might be bored. I've read that female rabbits tend to become shy of males when pregnant, but I can't speak from experience. Rabbits usually don't enjoy having their bellies touched, so it makes sense that she would run away from you when you try to touch it. Has she been in contact with an un neutered male? Is she spayed? I'd wait to see if she begins to try and make a nest. If you see her pulling out fur and collecting hay, she's probably about to have babies in a few days or so. She could be stressed out or sick. Just keep an eye on her for a while.
I am sorry to hear that you are having problems. First things first, you should never take the male to the female. Always take the female to the male. Females are very territorial. That alone could be what is stressing her out. If she was with a male there is a good chance that she is pregnant though. Make sure you have a nest box in there and see if she starts building a nest.
Bunnybun first i want to thank you because you put so much attention to my problem, she was pregnant.... and already have babies just now☺️ I wasn’t really noticing when she make a nest.. i thought she just bored hehe😅
I got my rabbit at the fair where there was like 10 other rabbits with her and she eats a lot but she’s new and she’s pretty young but she’s has always been very calm for a rabbit when we bought her and now
Do rabbits rejects breeds because i have a standard chinchilla doe that has refused to allow a new Zealand buck mount. She keeps running everytime he approaches her and i have witnessed him nibbling on her she has alot of scares from me trying to force it ? What do you suggest.
I know that they can be somewhat selective with certain individuals but i don't think I have ever seen one that would reject a breed of rabbit. What you are describing is actually pretty common. Does can be difficult to get to breed from time to time. I did a video on that topic a while back. ua-cam.com/video/fOTsp2Tm-aQ/v-deo.html
My rabbit just lost her buddy (my buck rabbit) and so she got a little easier ( not sure if that is from The lost or not). But she was a skinner rabbit when she is well taken care of but all of the sudden over two day she got really fat. Is she pregnant or is it some thing else?
It is hard to say for sure. Rabbits don't usually gain a lot of weight when they are pregnant. But if you had her with a buck, there is a very good chance she is pregnant.
maybe. That is a good sign but palpating is very hard to do and you may just be feeling organs (like the kidneys). Rabbit babies should be about the size of a grape and kind of hard, not overly squishy. I would say to assume your rabbit is pregnant and put a nest box in at 28 days. I hope that helps.
Thank you for the video Chris!! Answered a lot of questions. My female started packing her cheeks with straw about 2 weeks into her pregnancy, so i gave her the nesting box when i saw her pacing and panicking with straw in her mouth. She would take the alfalfa and try to use it as bedding and only ate her pellets. She would keep the straw in her mouth and not eat so i thought giving her the box would help. The next morning, i came in and saw that she had created a nest and pulled tons of hair. over the next 13 days, nothing happened. She also got extremely aggressive towards other females to the right and left of her cage. have you ever experienced a pregnancy that lasted over 36 days?
I have not personally but I have heard of that happening. If it goes over 40 days it is probably a sign that it was either a false pregnancy or an aborted one (for whatever reason).
The last week of the supposed pregnancy, sit with your rabbits. Your pregnant does will be tired and lying on their sides. You will be able to see the babies moving around in there. That is the only way I’ve 100% been correct on calling a pregnancy. Every other method has been sometimes correct and sometimes not. Haha!
So my rabbit gave up her flower to a fell named butterscotch, some weeks later about 2 to 3 she started to make a nest and she really started eating more than the usual, yet it's been about 4 weeks. I feel like she isn't prego
Can a 9 week old rabbit get pregnant? My baby rabbit got out of her cage and wound up in the pen with her dad. He mounts her any chance he gets so I typically keep them apart and now I am scared that she could have gotten pregnant.
When I first got my rabbit she was easy to handle and liked to be petted. Now, whenever I go to pet her or if she comes to me, she makes this weird noise when I try and pet her back. When I got her, I was told that she was around 3 months old so I don’t think that she is pregnant but I don’t know.
Some rabbits get very territorial and will be grumpy when in their cage but when you move them out of their cage they calm down. I am afraid that there probably isn't much you can do to fix that unfortunately.
My rabbit just dug a hole and started ripping her fur off and putting them inside the hole. Is iy a good idea to let them have their babies there? It's my first time having one so I really need some advice
If you are sure it is a false pregnancy then it is fine to go ahead and mate her. It is very hard to tell for sure that a rabbit is pregnant though so I would give her at least 34 days after her initial mating just to be sure she isn't pregnant before mating her again.
SOME ONE ANS MY COMMENT my male rabbit breeded like 3 weeks ago to the female and shes gone kinda heavy and i puted her in a cage and she jusr stands at the coner looking back What do i do?
Maybe take her to the vet if possible to see if there's anything wrong. She may be bored and that's why she's staring at the wall, give her some toys and such to entertain herself and wait to see if she makes a nest
@@Omar_93925 Rabbit pregnancy only lasts about 30 days and my rabbits didn't start nesting until a few days before birth. Make sure she has a nesting box and hay to make a nest with and wait a few more days EDIT: I now see that you gave her a nesting box. Ignore that part 😅

Hi @slightly rednecked, I have a question, would you mind assisting me . I have Netherlands’s dwarfs and attempted to get them to breed which I’ve been trying for the last 2-3 months , this time round which was Saturday they managed to breed however the doe was being a little hasty and not lifting her tail but let him grip on to her , he still managed to breed but without her lifting her tail , this was repeated 3 times, how would I know if she is pregnant ? many thanks
Omg today I put grass down in my bunnies cage and hay and I saw her running around trying to make a nest! I brought her inside and gave her a nest box! Also I was wondering if bunnies have babies with their brother if it can effect the offspring? I’ve heard different things. I looked it up just to make sure she was pregnant tho
Don’t worry it’s absolutely fine, I have 3 rabbits all siblings and the female gave birth to 3 babies. One was born dead already but the other two are completely healthy and they are 3 weeks old now.
Rabbits are fine left outside with babbies as long as it's around -5 to 90ish degrees outside. Obviously if it's hot add an ice pack and or a fan if it's cold give extra warm bedding material. They could be more prone to illness being so closely related or other complications but not necessarily. Just don't breed or let those babbies breed anymore with any rabbit IMO. You just created a weakness and if you breed the inbred rabbits to any other rabbit those future babbies will still have the weaknesses of the inbred parent. Worse case scenario they die but that's not always the case. If you lucked out like really well they will appear just fine.....still don't breed them later in life since they are inbred IMO. I'm still learning though and it's your rabbit do what you want
When do you replace your Does? Mine were borne 10/17, I breed then only between October and February due to the extreme heat in Texas, so I will not be breeding again until 10/19. They are giving me 5-10 kits per litter currently. I have plenty of Does to choose from for replacements, so wanted some suggestions from someone that has more experience than I.
I can generally get about 2 years (some does will go for 3) out of a doe before she needs to be replaced. I just replace when the litter size starts to dwindle or I start having false pregnancies or high mortality rates with the babies.
My doe had kits about 20 days ago and when she was out my buck got to her. They weren't at it for a long time before I got them but she's breathing quite a lot faster and heavier than usual. Can someone help with this? I dunno if she's pregnant or not and I'm not looking forward to another set of kits again
Thankyou Sir :) I just got one from a petstore...she could be preggo or just fat...im anxious to know lol. I hope she is...ill keep one and bring the others back :P

@@theweird608 I had my show bunnies in plastic bottom and they got sore hocks. All mine are now in wire bottom and have NEVER gotten sore hocks, we use wire just wide enough for poop to get through. Many say it's due to bad breeding if they get sore hocks.
My doe's first successful birthing experience was about 2 months ago. I saw my buck on her on april 2nd and I've been keeping track of the days and she has the same place she gave birth in last time but I noticed she dug a really deep tunnel under a tree and started putting grass and leaves in there instead of her usual spot. She's only 18 days in 😓 ive tried feeling if there are any babies inside her but im no professional 🤷🏻♀️
@@salmahazem9156 nono, she's only been pregnant for 21 days unless it's a false pregnancy. She's 10 months old. She lives with her mate and i usually see him on her a lot. She covered up her den she made and started making a nest in a another spot yesterday.
This is good advice. The onky downside is not all rabits show.. In my experience with jy NZ Flem and giant lops is they do get pudgier and my girls usualy lay on thair side. Or back alot.. Also I have a female who aint been bred in many months (last babies was born july) and she loves making nests randomly i give her shreded paper hay and straw to play and potty in (shes inside) and shes ALWAYS walkin ariund with paper or straw hanging outbof her mouth and i dint mean 1 ir 2 strands.. My bunny just got pregnant and had two babies I didnt know until I heard a lil sound like a rat 🤣😂 then I seen her bleed so I took out the other bunny with her cuz he was trying to rape her or. And she was screaming. But I have one question how much babies does a bunny have or suppose to get?
It varies widely based on the rabbit. Some have small litters of only 2 or 3 and some have larger litters of up to 12. I would say the average is probably 5 to 8.
My rabbit just cave birth to newborn babies on the 30th of July she's going to give birth again on the 31st of August around there but i have no idea what to do the previous batch of babies are they even allowed to be near new born babies or should i separate the baby's from the newborn babies if that makes sense
I just make a rabbit farm about 2 month. it is very hard o feel that. Can i just put the doe in buck cage in 2 weeks after breed? One of the sign the doe pregnant are it doesnt want breed and angry with buck. Keep screaming LOL, or it is dangerous for baby?
I don't know that it is dangerous for the baby but it is surely stressful for the rabbit. Honestly, I never palpate, if i had a successful breeding session I just assume the rabbit is pregnant. Only once or twice ever has she not had babies when I expected them.
Hi Chris. I have had my bunnies for the past 5 months and it's a pair. They are always together so I dont put them in cages. How to tell if my doe is pregnant
I am afraid there isn't really any sure fire way to tell. You can try palpating the female but that is very hard to do so if you don't feel anything it doesn't mean she isn't pregnant. I am sorry I can't really give you specific instructions.
I feed my rabbits a 19% protein rabbit pellet i get from a local feed store. The size of the rabbit really has more to do with genetics than anything else though.

@@Slightlyrednecked so here's an update on what happened. Turns out, she already had babies that were like 3 weeks old. She passed away from bleeding too much and now it's just the bunnies and this other female rabbit.
Hi good day did you try intense breeding???.
Like after 15 days of giving birth of rabbit you will rebreed it again???
Lol during this video I heard my brother screaming and told me his rabbit is giving birth 😆
Congratulations on the new rabbits. Seems like strange timing. :)
Could a wild rabbit made it in to my pen or do they do tjis some time?
all rabbits dig whether its a male/female/wild. its in their nature so whatever rabbit dug that is probably the one living there
Hi there i have a question i have a buck male rabbit and he only does one fallout on the females is this enough to get the female pregnant
That is enough. I like to get two or three just to be sure but if you got one I would expect the doe to be pregnant.
Thank you this video helped me out a lot
Awesome. I am so glad to hear that.
My rabbits stomach was hard when she was pregnant, also she grunted a lot if you went near her. She did eat a lot and put on weight. And picked up lots of grass in her mouth to help her build a nest
some rabbits do that. But most of the time there is very little change in a rabbit when it gets pregnant.
I would be that she probably is pregnant and I would plan on babies in about 30 days.
Oml same here, she’s acting a bit different, she was supposed to get spayed....𝘪𝘮 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘮𝘢𝘰
Hey there A lady you are a man what a surprise oh my god I am also scared 😂 my bunny is now squirting pee out of her cage which is really weird
I just found your channel and liked your video when I heard your goodbye ✝️
My rabbit gave birth to two kits last month without us knowing ,but sadly they passed away. She got pregnant AGAIN by the time we realised that the “girl” rabbit we bought (because our other one died and we wanted a friend for her) was actually a BOY. So now she is pregnant and I am feeling around 8 grape sized things in her stomach. My question is, why is she not moving for her position? Like, she is not very lively and she looks very tired.
Thanks,enjoyed the video!
it could be that she is pretty tired.
Just wait out the 10 days.
Wants weird food, mood swing, and big gut 😉😅
when my rabbit was having a boby she took off most of chest hair and my mom thaught she was fiting a mice
How can you tell if a wild rabbit you have found, has babies somewhere ???
You slap it and eat it

Will you sometimes feel a kick? I had my thumb a little higher on her belly and I thought I felt a kick but I'm not sure if that could have been a kick because of how high my thumb was on her belly and I didn't feel any grapes but I may not have had enough pressure on.
I have never felt a kick. Palpating is actually very difficult to do so don't be upset about being unsure.
I rescued a bunny a month ago. She was abandoned and yea.... She is just taking her fur and throwing on the ground wherever she find.... I don't know if she is pregnant and she doesn't like to be picked up but likes a lot to cuddle with her
I'm a little scared because I'm finding fur in her mouth but also a lot of fur on the ground.... Can someone tell if she is pregnant?
Same
Idk if my bunny is pregnant, i mean the last couple of days she has been like running/jumping around and she always runs after me and sits on my foot :/
It is hard to say for sure but if she was bred then i would bet on her being pregnant and prepare for it.
@@Slightlyrednecked okay, thank you :))
No problem. Good luck with her.
my bunnies are together in their room but i don’t know if she is pregnant because she’s new and won’t let me touch her much
My rabbit just picked up a heap of hay and has made a nest with it. She is usually a pig with food but only ate a little today and is busy making her nest. Im not sure if it’s her first litter as I found her running around the streets (she is very friendly tho)
I was just curious as to how often they have failed litters?
Those cages are awful :( they can get sore hocks really easily on wire flooring
they only get the hocks if they on wire with terrible bedding....^ clean bunnie feets

Slightly Rednecked thank you for the information, I learned a lot☺️
Bunnybun first i want to thank you because you put so much attention to my problem, she was pregnant.... and already have babies just now☺️ I wasn’t really noticing when she make a nest.. i thought she just bored hehe😅
how long after breeding can u palpate them?
Usually around 15 days.
What would it mean if they shoved all of their bedding to the sides??
Probably dont like it
I got my rabbit at the fair where there was like 10 other rabbits with her and she eats a lot but she’s new and she’s pretty young but she’s has always been very calm for a rabbit when we bought her and now
seems like my bunny girl too
God bless you, too, sir. ❤️
My friends male rabbit and my female rabbit were jumping on each other 😬

My rabbits got together and mated and i cant tell if she is pregnant, she should be two weeks
But if you had her with a buck, there is a very good chance she is pregnant.
so if you feel two little sacks on a doe cause I do and its kinda squishy, so is it pregnant? please tell me I need help
I just got my bunnies and she's a female I don't know in the past she got braids but she she has been a little grumpy and she making a nest on my bed
Haha!
lol. I know what you mean. That is why i use the straw in the cage every few days method. :)
I think my rabbit is pregnant she is very mad and has gathered her fur in one place and she eats a little more. So do you think she is pregnant?
ester povenius id say yes, and she’s due very very soon like within days if she’s already pulling fur
it sounds like it for sure. If you haven't already you should put a nest box in there with her.
So my rabbit gave up her flower to a fell named butterscotch, some weeks later about 2 to 3 she started to make a nest and she really started eating more than the usual, yet it's been about 4 weeks. I feel like she isn't prego
I would give her a few more days at least just to make sure. Some rabbits go a little over 30 days before having their babies.
Can a 9 week old rabbit get pregnant? My baby rabbit got out of her cage and wound up in the pen with her dad. He mounts her any chance he gets so I typically keep them apart and now I am scared that she could have gotten pregnant.
I highly doubt that it is possible. I wouldn't worry about it too much if it were me.
Yes
When I first got my rabbit she was easy to handle and liked to be petted. Now, whenever I go to pet her or if she comes to me, she makes this weird noise when I try and pet her back. When I got her, I was told that she was around 3 months old so I don’t think that she is pregnant but I don’t know.
Some rabbits get very territorial and will be grumpy when in their cage but when you move them out of their cage they calm down. I am afraid that there probably isn't much you can do to fix that unfortunately.
The same thing is happening to me but only when my buck comes close
If my boy rabbit it’s about a year old and my female is about 3-4 years old is that okay to breed them?
Yup
hey Chris my rabbit have five baby today there are 9day when can I put the mother bake to the father?
It depends on when you want to have more babies. I would wait until the current babies are at least 3 weeks old.
My rabbit just dug a hole and started ripping her fur off and putting them inside the hole. Is iy a good idea to let them have their babies there? It's my first time having one so I really need some advice
@Ayla Ehtisham I don't know. I'm worried for my rabbit cause it's her first babies and I'm scaaaared
So you know they have more then one or 3 baby’s
@@theproinpubg5283 they should have 1 to 21 babies

is it ok if my rabbit mates when having false pregnancy??
If you are sure it is a false pregnancy then it is fine to go ahead and mate her. It is very hard to tell for sure that a rabbit is pregnant though so I would give her at least 34 days after her initial mating just to be sure she isn't pregnant before mating her again.
Thank you
SOME ONE ANS MY COMMENT my male rabbit breeded like 3 weeks ago to the female and shes gone kinda heavy and i puted her in a cage and she jusr stands at the coner looking back
What do i do?
Maybe take her to the vet if possible to see if there's anything wrong. She may be bored and that's why she's staring at the wall, give her some toys and such to entertain herself and wait to see if she makes a nest
I breaded her again 3weeks ago and i gave her toys shes happy i put a nest box in but she dosent make her nest?
@@Omar_93925 Rabbit pregnancy only lasts about 30 days and my rabbits didn't start nesting until a few days before birth. Make sure she has a nesting box and hay to make a nest with and wait a few more days

Hi @slightly rednecked, I have a question, would you mind assisting me . I have Netherlands’s dwarfs and attempted to get them to breed which I’ve been trying for the last 2-3 months , this time round which was Saturday they managed to breed however the doe was being a little hasty and not lifting her tail but let him grip on to her , he still managed to breed but without her lifting her tail , this was repeated 3 times, how would I know if she is pregnant ? many thanks
It is very difficult to know for sure. If you experienced fall offs from the male, I would assume she is pregnant and plan accordingly.
@Slightly Rednecked thank you very much for the reply 👍🏻
No problem.
My rabbit normally likes being handled now when I try to pat her she runs even when I try picking her up to feel for the babies

That is pretty normal behaviour. She will probably calm back down after she has the babies.
Can I put a 2 month female rabbit with a male rabbit
Not a good idea, they reach sexual maturity at 3 months.
2 months is too young to breed. Males and females should be separated
I woke up yesterday and my bunny had a huge nest. She’s had babies before, but she hasn’t been with our male bunny.
Maybe she is going through a false pregnancy. That does happen from time to time.
My doe had kits about 20 days ago and when she was out my buck got to her. They weren't at it for a long time before I got them but she's breathing quite a lot faster and heavier than usual. Can someone help with this? I dunno if she's pregnant or not and I'm not looking forward to another set of kits again
I would almost bet that she is pregnant again. It doesn't take long.
Freek Sho I’m not sure but my bunny had kits and she started breathing supers heavily I’m not sure but I have the same problem 😂
So my rabbits 1 male and 2 females live together. Is there any chance they mate and get pragnent ?
There is a very good chance that they will. In fact, if they are old enough, I am betting they have already mated.
Definitely
my male rabbit looks like 5-6 months old

It varies widely based on the rabbit. Some have small litters of only 2 or 3 and some have larger litters of up to 12. I would say the average is probably 5 to 8.
Can we keep male rabbit and pregnent female rabbit together??
That is not a good idea. It is best to separate them until you want her to get pregnant again.

Does your female rabbit will attack you
My doe is very grumpy when she has babies. But that is really the only time.
I am sorry I can't really give you specific instructions.
what do you feed them sir?
my rabbit is very small.
I feed my rabbits a 19% protein rabbit pellet i get from a local feed store. The size of the rabbit really has more to do with genetics than anything else though.
Yup and if yours isn't considered a meat rabbit breed they will probably not get as big. Pet rabbit breeds are usually smaller
If your rabbit is a mini and/or dwarf it won't get very big (under 10lbs for sure unless you over feed it).
