Gayle, thank you! You just saved me a 1.5 hour trip to my dealer, one way, plus a several week backlog to get to my machine. I am so glad I found your channel!!! I am also glad to join in on your fun remote classes. If I didn’t live 2500+ miles away you would definitely be my dealer! I will do my best to support your shop remotely as you have supported me. thanks for another fantastic video!
Gayle - thank you so much. I love all your videos, but these videos are extremely valuable. These videos help us solve problems on our own. Do more of these if you can. Amazing. Again, thank you!
I just happened upon this video. Thank you for this extremely helpful video. Because of this video, I have subscribed to your channel. I look forward to viewing other videos that you have produced. Thanks again. I really appreciate your help.
I have had this occur on my 880 plus too. I rebooted the machine with success, but it needed a couple of reboots before it worked. Next time, I will try moving the little lever as well. Great video Gayle.
Darn Gayle, 3 weeks late. I just traded my beautiful Crystal 880+ because I had this issue, as well as other bobbin issues, kept locking up, kept having to fool with the bobbin in many ways. I wish it would’ve worked for me because I love that machine. my dealer could not fix some of the issues. Thank you for all your wonderful videos.
Thank you for your comment but this is not a board issue. You just saw us remedy the issue. This is quite often misdiagnosed as a board issue but it isn’t. This is why we made this video.
What makes my 880 bobbin clatter/rattle so much when I sew? I had a technician replace the bobbin sensor but it clatters so much during sewing and embroidery that it’s obnoxious but sews a fine stitch??? Thanks
I'm having this issue on my 830 right now. I open the door just a bit and that lever is on the left if I open the door all the way the lever is on the right but the bobbin is still not coming out. Help????? Please. I haven't used my 830 in "years" because it intimadates me so much but I decided 2023 was the year I was going to learn it. Well my first go this happened. Makes me feel like I'm never going to get it.....thank you!
Help my needle hit the plate and now my bobbin case won’t open. I tried to move the lever over and it looked successful but it still is not opening. Ugh
Was about to purchase it $11k, not worth the asking price and bobbing issue headaches, babylock Altair 2, here come daddy to purchase you instead and while at it I'll also be purchasing the Triumph Serger.
@@Sazonman there are not bobbin issues. We try to help people do things correctly on this channel and empower to use the machine to its full potential. Good luck on your purchases and thank you for your comment.
How about showing us how to fix the threader! I've tried all the tricks my Bernina tech has taught me, and it's still not working again!!!! Another 2 hrs one way to dealer... ugggg
I do that in this video. Time stamp in the description ua-cam.com/video/8Red95f2b9I/v-deo.html But if you’re looking for how to get the needle threader disengaged when it is stuck, I have to wait to replicate the situation. However any BERNINA tech should be able to talk you through this on the phone.
@@BERNINAofNaperville thank you! I'll ck the video.. my tech taught me a trick that has worked over the years.. not this time.. maybe the 'mechanic'?? It's not stuck.. comes out, acts like its threaded needle, goes back in perfectly.. except, needle not threaded.. thank u for all you do! You have helped me sewww much time and again!
@@lindadittrich151 there is no trick to this issue. You have a bit of dust on the threader. If there’s is dust the mechanism will not push all the way through the eye of the needle.
Hello, I have this problem with my bobbin but I am unable to push the lever on the right ; it is blocked. I would like to remove the white under cover to see what is happening but I don't know how. I have already remove three screws but nothing occur. Can you tell me what I am missing. Sorry for my very bad english. Thank you by advance. Frank

It’s a shame that you dealer is not providing a solution. I would recommend looking for a BERNINA store that values and services 880s.
Awesome information! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you, Gayle! It worked. See you at BU next month.
