Home training, these kids are loss and losing at life , my son is 12 love football 🏈 and will never be disrespectful to me or adults and these kids do not realize less than 10% of them will make it in the NFL and the bigger picture making it in life ! We have to do better!

Ocho aint a big talker, he's more of a color commentator. He's got a personality, but he's not a motor-mouth. He's got a lot of opinions and his job is to give his opinion. Unc is the play by play announcer. His job is to drive the convo, so he's gonna talk more. Their styles complement each other. That's why this dynamic works.

The respect changed when parents started saying, “Don’t saying anything to my child.” To be clear, an adult should not mistreat, abuse, or talk down to the child, but if the child is doing something wrong, they need to be corrected. My neighbors corrected me growing up when my parents weren’t around and I’m thankful for it. Hell, I do it. Caught some kids outside ringing people’s doorbells and running two days ago. I corrected it on the SPOT. I wasn’t mean, didn’t yell, and didn’t curse.
Bad parenting is 1000% the problem with EVERYTHING in our society today. It started a long time ago and it's now gotten worse and worse. I'm 45 so I remember when, not parents, but single mothers started saying no one can talk to my child. Make no mistake, it's a very very very low percentage of this behavior from kids when they come from a two parent household. It's the single parent homes by far. Yet, all you hear from women today are that fathers are an option and not needed so I do place blame on that. Men are the most important parent, period. Leadership, discipline, structure, etc comes from the man. A woman is not given those capabilities. She's a nurturer, that's it
I appreciate Ocho's transparency about his lack of knowledge for basketball and his willingness to listen and understand. He's asking the right questions, how can we bridge the gap?

I worked as a substitute teacher and the pure anger and disdain some students have for ANY adult/authority figure is scary. Some kids think that they don't seem to think adults deserve human decency and that they are cog of a system that they hate. Students are allowed to throw chairs and just get a warning from the office to come back and terrorize the class 10 minutes later. It creates toxic environments where kids believe they can do anything they want and I'm pretty sure that mentality helped fester whatever happened with Cam. If you're not going to treat Cam Newton with the reverence he deserves, at least treat him with the respect that society needs from you.

What Cam experienced at his camp is what educators like myself deal with on a daily basis. Disrespectful students who have the audacity to do what they want, the parents let them and don’t hold them Accountable but mad to see they’re failing. These parents will put them in all kinds of sports but won’t parent them or make sure they know how to read. The new generation is something else. I’m trying my hardest to stick in and fight for the integrity of our generations to come. Sometimes I look at some of these kids and think, “my own kids would NEVER even think about it!!! Whew!!” Bottom line: parents need to raise their kids and stop expecting the streets will and that people will feel sorry for them. Not every kid will go pro, you have to invest in your kid’s abilities!
