Big tip. Use the row/column buff to help get these numbers. That 100% shit or 50% is way bigger than you think it is. I was just messing around with crafting and did the row thing and got like 2000% phys from 1 row.
I think that after 4k hours played I just have to admit I am too casual for this game. Last Epoch items dropping identified and the ease of the loot filter there opened my eyes.

It would appear as though the total weight pool might not actually change when you increase a tier rating. If you hold the alt key with the morgue open, the "+X to Whatever Modifier Tier Rating" corpses read as follows: "Raising modifier tier rating excludes lower tier modifiers from rolling, distributing their roll chance among higher tier modifiers of the same modifier type".
In your formula to determine what tiers will roll, it looks like either you're mentally adding the 100% base chance in F106, or it's missing the 100+ that should go in the numerator. Because if you put 100 into F106, your result would be Tier 10. It wasn't clear if the number in F106 is the number you've added from your corpses, or including the base rate. Thanks for the detail explanation, though!
For me the most important takeaway from this video is the sense of scale of the modifiers, where they actually start "doing something" and therefore their value.
I don't understand what went though the mind of whoever designed this league and though "yes, this is gonna be fine". In not exactly a casual, i've gotten at least a MB and a thousand divines in the last few leagues and not just the previous one where currency rain, i mostly understand the crafting mechanics of this league and can't imagine myself placing 50 corpses in a specific order which some of them have to be bought and then pray to rng for a good item while getting trash drops from mobs while mapping in exchange of 100 more dmg to monsters. Yes, there is a chance to get divines mod but it not like we didnt before with eater altars and who knows, the chance to get it could be the same. I simply cant find a reason to play this league other than trying new atlas mechanica and abusing scarabs, definitely not a league for most people. One of the biggest problems is that ggg balances these crafting leagues taking in mind that some people like grim or some other well knowledged people will make use of excel spreadsheets and external web pages/tools to create good items and explain the rest of the community how a mechanic works instead of making things intuitive and fun using in game npc or whatever. Watching an intervier of 2 hours with a dev should not be mandatory to understand how to play a league or make use of the main attractive characteristic of a league. They knew this league would be really bad and boring for 90% of the people and still went with it, that other 10% will quickly find out that even though they like to craft crafting with low materials on the market cause people is dropping the league in hordes will make it less profitable, less fun and way more difficult. Puting aside how dificult and boring this league is for the average joe we aldo have to talk about the QoL and UI design of the league, the corpse picking up and managment of the cemetery is tedious and the micromanaging gets old real fast, the animation when creating items is excesively long for no apparent reason and theres a few less important improvements they should make to make it feel less clunky. Overall i would rate this league a 3/10 so far and unless they make big changes in a short time i can see how it could become one of the worst leagues in poe history. If something can save it is the changes to the atlas and scarabs, that's really good.
This man is a top-tier content creator for any game he gets into. I enjoyed playing Honkai Star Rail with you when I was taking a break from PoE, glad to see you getting into this league. I used to enjoy figuring out all this shit myself, but nowadays I don't have the time or energy so it's really nice how you break these things down.
@@SuperCatacata Gredinus is talking about cutting out undesirable mods. Mana for example has a lot of tiers: if you first cut out the lower tiers with +tier weight, then make it more scarce to reduce the weight even more you end up with a lower chance to get mana on your item compared to only making it more scarce.
Grim geeking out and showing me spreadsheets once again that probably less than 10% of the playerbase will be able to understand. What a time to log in. I myself crafted a decent Day 1 sceptre for RF by just stacking fire modifiers, fire tier ratings and getting the higher item base roll but I kinda forgot to remove attack mods which is a small oopsie but I'm still getting to clear mid yellow maps quite comfortably on a 4L, prolly can push low reds with my current gear but I will definitely be a lot slower so I should just get a 6L. This league is gonna be insane for crafters and I already made a small fortune tinkering with the corpses. I'm prolly gonna hunker down and craft some decent bows to sell while learning the league mechanic myself and just start snowballing the currency to a Mageblood that was sadly nerfed.
Is there any way to make it generate only high tier bases? Else, to use your project, it should suck for making good phys bows. I know there's the attribute requirement corpses that ensure you'll get, say, an ES chestpiece - but that doesn't ensure said chest would be a Vaal Regalia. So is there a way to make it only give you a Vaal Regalia, Occultist Vestment or other high base type?
@@ArawnOfAnnwn You can use a corpse that rolls bases and selects the one with the highest level requirement. It doesn’t guarantee anything but it’ll help Edit: sorry I responded the same on another thread to you lol
Grim was quiet in a lot of Affliction, but when I heard "crafting league bad", I knew there was only one place to go. If someone has answers, this is the man I trust to tell them to me.
im really curious about him saying that people will be able to just paste recipes and others can use them, since the outcomes seem pretty random still even on the more weighted options.
@@bloomleaf8310 Basically, the same idea as fossils. People will tell you what combination of fossils to use to get the best chance of the item, but it might take multiple tries.
@@bloomleaf8310 Grimro didn't mention it in the video, but there are corpses that provide a item duplication chance for each used corpse in a craft. That's yet another factor driving us to bigger recipes. The chances get much higher to get good rolls and bases, when you're producing 5 or 10 items instead of one.

I missed Synthesis back in the day, and I was always a bit sad to have missed the process of discovery the community went through. This league doesn't seem like it'll be quite so cryptic, but I'm excited nevertheless to see if I can contribute to the tooling side of things!

tier increases + chance reducing are also a good combo, since they remove the highest weight low tiers and reduce what's left
