    I've just discovered this company fortuitously Binging Kontakt issues and these folks offered the best answer on the web. As a bit of plugin enthusiast (Ample Sounds, Acoustic Samples, SSD 4P, Toontrack, GSI, Music Lab, and on and...) I am very impressed. I've spent good money on drum plug-ins and , yes preset groove systems are terrible imo too. I'm definitely acquiring a few thing from y'all. BTW, please, consider sampling a gourd banjo and adding frailing to the existing banjo's triggers! I believe you'd be the first for either concept in the VST arena! Can't neglect us old banjo time lovers!

    Sounds really good - a second kick (as well as different crashs and rides) on the keyboard would be be nice for performing some useful stuff like double bass drum moves.
    What's about the samples?
    Are these raw and unprocessed samples recorded without compressors or limiters straight from the real drum kits or drum kit units?
    I'm looking for some drum VSTis with the most natural, unprocessed and highly dynamic sound.

    I won't say it's more important than my Martin D-18 for getting into the groove...it's pretty close! Hey can we get MIDI and Sound out same time?

    • @Realitone
      @Realitone 10 місяців тому

      Hey, how about if I trade you a free copy of RealiDrums for that Martin? ;-) MIDI out is tricky, especially since the DAWs (and even Apple and Windows) keep changing specs. On the Kontakt side of things, go to Preferences, then select "Engine," then for the "Send MIDI to outside world, menu, select "Script Generated Notes."
      That's the easy part. Step 2 is getting your DAW to see those notes, which honestly, it's changed so much over the years (especially with Logic, which is what I use here), that I'm not sure anymore what step 2 would be. With that said, on Mac, if you're familiar with IAC, it can be done. Windows is easier, I think, since they use VST3.

    • @bobbymacisontv
      @bobbymacisontv 10 місяців тому +1

      @@Realitone No trade! ;) In my case, it was Kontakt that needed settings first. Once set to send notes, Kontakt is ALWAYS sending MIDI so the button "Send MIDI" inside Realidrums acts as a mute switch. Which can just as easily be done in the DAW. (Bitwig)

    • @Realitone

      If you Drag&Drop the MIDI to your DAW, then you can change open/closed, or timings or whatever. But you can't do it directly in the app.

    This is one of nowadays a fairly decent number of KONTAKT libraries that I like as it plays well with other acoustic drum kit ROMplers (Such as Toontrack's SD2 and EZd2, FXpansion's BFD Eco, BFD2 & 3, XLN Audio's Addictive Drums or Addictive Drums 2, Steven Slate Drums 4..Etc.) and trigger specific/Kit piece layering plugin's such as WaveMachine Labs' Drumagog, apulSoft apTrigga, SPL DrumXchanger, Steven Slate's Trigger, XLN Audio's Addictive Trigger...Etc.) That is what I really find so useful an application of numerous instances of KONTAKT within a session.However most importantly it is the sample library developer's out there whom are who along with the big gun's are always upping their game which just makes life a lot easier when you do not have access to a decent sized space for capturing a multi-tracked kit or in many cases access to a drummer whom can play what is required if it isn't a band situation/a solo studio project.Nice one Realitone, I would and could happily use the library on it's own without layering up/building a kit from various separate sources and get a result that was simply not possible when I started out, Getting a couple of tracks ITB along with sequencing was the normal, Tape and ADAT/DAT was still the only real game around! I do not miss any of it really no matter the tint of any rose covering any pair of nostalgic spectacles, It keeps on getting better and better...A really great time for audio.

    Hello Mike.Is it possible to use each sound in a different midi channel in a recording for exempel Studio one 3 that i use. Lets say that i want to put reverb on the snare but i dont want that on the base drum/Peter...

    • @Realitone
      @Realitone 7 років тому +1

      Yes, you can do that where each sound is on a different MIDI channel. An easier way, though, might be to use the individual outputs option (on the Settings page.) That way you can play the whole kit on one MIDI track/channel, but still send the snare to a different output than the kick, and send the toms to another output, etc.
