I'm curious about your mixing setup, the desk looks awesome and great for performances. do you run your voices straight out of the modular into the mixing board and back into the modular again somehow how effects, or does everything stay outside the modular once it goes into the mixer? thanks again!
It's a giant desk (Allen&Heath GL2200) that I bought second hand in 2017. It sat unused for years until I was frustrated enough with the small format eurorack mixing and routing solutions to try and run my voices through it. At first I used the sends to go back into the eurorack (for delays and reverbs, this worked) but since 19 inch rack gear is so much cheaper than eurorack effects I now use an outboard delay, reverb and compressor (that I sidechain with a kick from the eurorack). It's a hassle to wire up but it's very flexible. This way I can record 6 lanes of audio into my interface (at the moment just 4 because one of the group channels on the mixers is busted). It HAS to be under the eurorack though, if it's on the side this doesn't work (for me).
@@briesmodular thank you for the details! I find myself constantly in need of such specific mixers in eurorack that I end up with a bunch and none does everything I want. Limitations are great but I would love a huge mixing setup for eurorack too.
Gorgeous piece, friend.
Intro swells are golden
wow, stunning performance! I really love this vibe. Your jams have inspired me to start jamming more with the modular too, thanks! ✌
Thank you!
