- This video explains how to repair the headband cushion of the JBL TUNE headphones. I this example we are using the JBL TUNE 510bt, but this procedure works for other TUNE models aswell.
In order to replace the cushions we first remove the two plastic cover next to the cushion by using a prying tool. The cushion itself is glue in position and can be easily removed afterwards.
omg u made it look so easy, ive almost destroyed mine while doing it...
this is the most helpful video! I thought I had to buy new headphones, but now I think I can save them. thank you!
Glad to hear it was helpful. Thank you for your feedback! 🙂
I knew that those 'sliders' needed to come off, but was not sure where to start prodding. Thanks to you , I accomplished that in 30 seconds!
I honestly killed mine ;D How do you open these without damaging the plastic?
Fixed!! Thank you! The JBL Tune 600BTNC is slightly different as the ear cup is glued. This video helped.
Excellent! Good Job ... I just replaced the ear pads as one had worn away completely and the head band is in the same shape, now I know what to do, as I like you could find no replacements online. Thanks
Thanks! I could not have done this without your help!
This was very helpful! Thanks a lot, I really like the color btw
i appreciate this vid big bro 🙏
Will the Apple Beats Solo ear pads fit with the 510bt?
This video is very helpful to me i appreciate your work ❤️❤️🤝
thank you, very clear, I've done the job
it's really helpful, thank you for your video.
Can I glue the material to the sponge with superglue?
Ok is there a way to fix the rotation of the speaker. It fell out of my head band and now I don't know what part to buy for it. It's a piece between the head band and the speaker. It helps rotate the speaker. Idk what is it called but I need a repair video of that.
Nice video, but i strongly recommend alternative way without disassembling any parts, no risk to broke something
just gently pull off old pad, clean any remains of glue ribbon, Insert new one starting with sides, not the middle, pull sides in as deep as you can, later press middle part
I got JBL 500BT headphones from a friend, he gave them to me because one side wasn't playing. I fixed that, and now, the fabric on the ear pads and head pad started to tear. I hope this will work. Also, my sliders are loose, this may fix it.
thank you for the really great job.
Thanks bro❤
Awesome. How would you do the ear cups?
👏👏👏Grande! Bravo!
oh yes pleasr it would be wonderful if you could show us how to do the same with the ear cushions...that would be so cool and unique
That sounds like a great idea. That would really look great.
I’ll have to investigate how it can be done 👍
@@MegaSafetyFirst did you find out? Did it work?
Nothing yet unfortunately. I tried an idea that I had, but it didn’t end up looking that great 😆

Superglue and a little bit of baking soda can fix that pretty good
