My favorite parts are the beginning and end - where you lay down a wash and where you add dabs of color to get balance and composition. Inspiring as always!
More than amazing .Being ambidextrous ,you have spoken many languages through hues and your art works are harmonious.Magnificent is an understatement.I do not know how I missed your videos all these time.In life we search and some of us find.Grateful for sharing the activities going on in the left and right sides of your brain.Thank you kindly.
Mr. Lang it is always a pleasure watching you work. To see it come to life with such depth and color is a special visual.. Thanks for sharing..... Martin
I was so happy to see your video pop on my feed this morning. It is always a pleasure to watch you work. I admire your fearlessness with working over color and changing elements as you go. Sometimes when painting, I end up creating a spot that I don't want to cover...but to move forward I would need to cover it unless I rethink the whole thing. It's something I've struggled with even if just working a background. How do you do it? Your blending and colors are so unique and well done, and sometimes you've made this incredible shade that is so beautiful which you later go over with something else. It's just as beautiful, but it's different and covered what you first made. You made this incredible shade of green for the top right corner early on, and covered it. I know that your method creates great depth of color, but even knowing that, I would have struggled to cover that particular green. How do you not hold back, or get bothered about covering up a part of the painting? Seems such a silly question, but it's something that amazes me that you are not hesitant to do. Thank you for sharing! Always enjoy watching your videos!
Its great that you see these areas and remember them! I look at it as a process, layers of paint and areas combined to create a finished product. If you remember these areas you can reproduce them where ever you want. Its like looking at a piece of beautiful wood, enjoying the random grain and colors and then cutting it up to make a table out of it. Its part of the process. Hope this helps...MIX
What Brand of Acrylic and Medium do you use for your paintings? Can anyone tell me? I want to replicate his technics. I have the brushes and canvas, just need the paint and medium. Thanks in advance for the info.
Absolutely fantastic work. The colors are inviting and captivates the viewer. Incredible. Can an Acrylic Matte Glaze Medium work as apposed to the standard Matte Mediums? I have noticed with my paintings that the glaze mediums dry rapidly and more effort is required to spread and blend the paint. Any suggestions?
Glad you like! I think the glaze dries quicker. I like the medium because as long as I keep adding I can keep the paint wet and control it better, that being said try both and see what works best for you. Enjoy...MIX
It's always a pleasure to watch you work. One thing that has been fascinating me for a long time, though. Can you tell me how you keep your brushes so crisp and clean? Do you have an apprentice in the background to make it so? I would do that for you at no cost to you.
Glad you like! I clean my brushes constantly, I have 4 large water containers at my side at all times and even when not in use they are in a container to keep them wet. As Jaz said, I do have a short video on this that you may find helpful, enjoy!
I am always so amazed at how delightfully intuitive your painting are. They just magically flow from you. They are all incredible! Thanks for sharing.
