Imagine being Canadian and learning you could have had Poirier-Gaethjie but now getting Nunes~Aldana. It’s like ordering a Margarita and getting sour milk instead.
They were always gonna have nunes. The bmf title being on the line is bc they are now a main event. But before, they were gonna be co main event.

They trail is far more difficult for some. Several champions have gotten luck by circumstance these two have been down a very long trail with having to fight the top of the pack. Not like Leprechauns that talk there way into it.

this is a matchup where you don't root for one of them over the other. you root for the sport and the athletes, and accept the results. bc at the end of the day, this is a win. may both fighters stay blessed and injury-free before the fight and during the fight. or at least, may they stay as healthy as possible 🙏🏽

Haven't been hyped for a fight like this in a long time. Also, one of the very few fights I can't pull for either guy. One of those rare fights you know you will get an absolute barnburner. May the best man win, both are legends.

I remember watching Justin G’s first fight in the UFC against MJ and I wanted Johnson to win. As I watched the fight I knew Justin was a special fighter. We are all blessed as fans that we have Justin. Respect to these warriors!

I don’t think so. Neither have slowed down, and neither are that old. They both fought not that long ago and looked great. No reason to think one of them fell off that bad so quickly.

Like he said, he’s trying to sell the fight, as well, he’s going to use that belt to propel him to a title shot if he wins so he can’t belittle it or he will just screw himself. If he can convince the fans to care, Dana will listen because the fans bring the money.
It’s practically as prestigious as any of these rigged ranking-based belts. It’s all just to sell tickets/PPV and the rankings are to sell their brands (fighters). This BMF title is arguably a fight at a much higher level than many past lightweight championship fights lol.
Only dawgs fight for that belt. You got fighters and great fighters but some fighters you respect as being a dawg, fight to the death. No surrender, no give up. Not many are looked at like, DAWGS.....
Apparently it means they pick up ppv percentage points the same as any other title so i can see why it's important. It's more fun than prestigious i think but I'm sure financially most fighters would like to have it

Justin gaethje and Dustin Poirier are absolutely two of my favorite Fighters. Whoever wins, I will be so happy for them. Whoever loses, I'm going to feel sad for them. One thing is for sure though. It's going to be an amazing fight. These guys never fail to put on an incredible display of mixed martial arts action. Fighters like them are why I am such a huge fan of the sport.
