Hello, I see that a key has 2 symbols. Example, the ?/ symbols are on the same key. How to choose / instead? And can we launch an application using a key? Thanks for your help
I've got a few of the wired versions of these. I use them as programable keypads for PC gaming with 8x relegendable keycaps and 4x taller "MA profile" caps as curser keys, and I have to say, for this they're brilliant (Until you get to a game that needs more than 8 action buttons). These units are sold with various different combinations of options. They can be wired or Bluetooth, RGB or not, Pretty much any kind of mechanical switch out there, and "Multilayer" or "single layer". The last one's the important option for your question. On the rear edge of the multilayer ones is a tiny momentary button, and pressing that allows you to cycle through 3 key maps. If you look at the video at 2:36 you'll see the 3 layer options at the top of the utility that allows you to chose which layer you wish to set. As far as I know, you can't directly create launch keys, but you could use a dirty workaround by say setting a button to run a string like "Windows key, N, O, right arrow, Enter". This particular string will open notepad unless you have something else installed that starts with "NO". I think there's also a limit of a 5 key string per button, so it's not ideal. To be honest, these pads are great for their price. Yes, there's better macro pads, and cut down programable gaming keyboards out there, and yes, the software is the most janky piece of junk you'll ever have the displeasure of using, but the pads turn up in Amazon sales reasonably regularly, and occasionally in "As new" condition of eBay for next to nothing (after some less technical person bought it, couldn't instantly make it work, couldn't find the software online, so decided to move it on and buy something else), BUT they're a budget macro pad that's got mappable/replaceable switches, can easily be customised to fit multiple roles, AND only costs around half of what the next better option would set you back. It's a worthy bit of kit in my book. Oh, and anyone reading this who's having trouble finding the software, the easiest way to get it is to look for reviews on UA-cam that have the same pad as yours (with the same number of keys and rotary encoders). if you look through a few you'll find some that have links to the software in their google drive. Most channels aren't going to try to spread viruses, and (IIRC) Goggle scans files when they're being uploaded to the drives anyway, but scan the downloaded folder yourself if it makes you feel better. There's about 2 or 3 versions of the utility out there, they all work, they're all just as clunky as each other, but visually one of them looks slightly less like something cobbled together by some kid as a school project. :D
Actually that is the button on my keyboard I use, it has a 1 button with both symbols ?/, you can freely apply any button depending on the keys on your keyboard.
@@Reman1975 The limitation can be worked around with "Autohotkey" (free). You simple install Autohotkey and write a script like "anyname.ahk" with lines like this:
How about a keyboard like this but the upgraded version with 4 knobs and I can't seem to find any software for it it just came with the keyboard itself and a wire nothing more
Do you knobs have detents, or just spin smoothly? I am guessing they just function like a button, you program the function for clockwise and counter clockwise, and they don't work in a range like an axis of a joystick or similar?
the knobs on my keypad have detents, and I program it like up or down on a keyboard, so clockwise is up and counter is down, and I program it on my animation shortcuts as next and previous frames. and yes it works like an axis of a joystick controller.
Yoo i was just talking about getting this! Good to know this has solidified my desire to get this soon along with the relegendable keycaps! Thanks for the review!
Oh perfect! Thanks so much! Those 2 are the most important anyway, I'll give canvas rotation a try too but it's not a deal-breaker. Another quick one, does this work with clip studio on the iPad as well or just Windows/Mac?

This. Thanks for explaining the keypad, you're good in explaining about the intricacies of the subject and I thank you.

It's included with the keyboard, but you can contact the seller if you have any questions
Have you tried on an android device if it works also?
Sorry, I haven't tried it on an android device since I don't own one. I have a tight budget these days hehe

I'll try to feature that keyboard in the future content. Maybe contact the seller for the software?

no problem glad you liked it, happy to be of help
thanks for this! quick question - is it possible to use the knobs for increasing brush size, zooming, canvas rotation etc?
I have tried increasing brush sizes and zooming with no problem, but I haven't tried the canvas rotation yet.
