曳山にはハンドルがありません。曲がり角を１トンもある重い曳山を人力で車輪を引きずりながら一気に曲がるのが、一つの見どころです。
築山行事は、全国的にも類例が少ない臨時の置山行事で、9月30日の夕刻に海から招いた神霊を、境内に設えた臨時の祭壇である「築山」に迎え、10月2日の本祭には主神と四天王の人形などを安置して、一般に公開する行事です。ゆったりとした気分で、伝統をみて下さい。できれば大画面で！

The power of the Hozyozu Hachiman Shrine Festival's Hikiyama turning corners and the Tsukiyama Ceremony to welcome the divine spirits from the sea
Hikiyama floats do not have handles. One of the highlights is seeing the heavy one-ton floats turn around corners in one go while being dragged by hand.
The Tsukiyama Ceremony is a temporary float-laying event that is rare nationwide. On the evening of September 30th, divine spirits are invited from the sea and welcomed onto a temporary altar called a "Tsukiyama" set up in the shrine grounds. For the main festival on October 2nd, dolls of the main deity and the Four Heavenly Kings are placed on the altar and opened to the public.
Please enjoy the tradition in a relaxed atmosphere. Preferably on a large screen!
