I actually switched from Ultra to Xiaomi. Mainly because of the battery charge speed and no charger policy. Plus when you have them side by side, Samsung over-saturates photos still. If I want that for social networks, I'll do it afterwards, but let me take my photo as intended. Ultra also over-sharpens; very visible when you zoom in or check photo on bigger screen but also here in the video at 70x zoom, it's horrible, unnatural and looks like painting/very bad posterization. Neither is really usable at high zoom. Hmm, I don't know how you can't tell them apart, it's very obvious just looking at grass how 23 screws up green color, washes out that wooden fence, again over-sharpens those bushes etc (11:03). On ultra-wide Xiaomi needs to fix their software, Samsung just looks better. Want Instagram shots, go with Samsung, want normal photography, go with Xiaomi. Both have pros and cons, depends what user wants. Regarding software, there are so many tiny options how you want them to behave (especially on MIUI) and in every day work both are super fast. All that taken into account, 13 Pro is better value for your money and then you have to buy almost 3x slower charger for Samsung separately. You don't have to listen to me, coming from someone who switched/tried both camps. And neither can compare with DSLR other than in bright daylight and perfect conditions; where again, 13 Pro gives much more accurate colors than Samsung.
You should try video recording and also the front facing camera ( Samsung is in a whole new level ) , I feel that xiaomi has been using the same front facing camera for years.
It's so dumb how Samsung gives you 8gb RAM standard in 2023 for their top of the line smartphone and is also more expensive than other flagships that are slightly cheaper
You didn't talk about the face unlock. Big,big difference in Xiaomi advantage. I was a samsung fan,located in USA, ,still own the Z flip 5. Getting bored of the UI and the same ultra: S22,S23,S23. Used Z fold 4 for 8 months . Was a good phone. Now I'm using Xiaomi mix fold 3 and the world opened for me. Still need a brick phone with a good camera and the best display . Xiaomi of course 13 Pro or 13 Ultra . Both of them are global rom now.Will see... Never apple. The apple 15 will be here soon. The new thing on it will be USB type C. Ha ha ha..

I'm just guessing here but being an avid photographer for over 40 years a digital zoom can never compete with a physical zoom. The best test here is the 3.2 Zoom against the same ratio on the samsung because the 3.2 is actually using a lens to get to that ratio and not cropping.
Great video. The only issue I would have with the Samsung is the lack of charger.... especially if you are new to Samsung phones. Spending all that money and not finding a charger inside is a huge let down. Other than that it wins everything for me. The camera zoom was just mind blowing.

for me, buying a device like this means you will keep the phone for a few years and if thats the case, i would go for the phone that would 1) age gracefully without stuttering and doing all sorts of mad shit like my mi10 ultra im about to ditch now and 2) which phone will stay relevant (specs still hold up in 3 years but not just specs; i mean are the specs advertised still working as well 3 years later as they did out of the box. I will be getting the s23 ultra as i intend to keep the phone for 4 years. I just hope it will age gracefully
Xiaomi 13 Pro's selfie camera is so bad and even rear camera is not good like samsung iphone. Battery backup is not good. Xiaomi should give 5000mah battery like samsung. Samsung camera is far better than xiaomi 13 Pro Xiaomi have 1 inch sensor but could not capture good quality image in night.
Look at the price difference between Xiaomi 13 Pro and the S23 Ultra For the price of 1300$, none of the companies even offers Leica in their sensors on phones Once we get Hardware, the software will come later. But without Hardware, there can't be software. Because software RUNS inside in Hardware, the shell and protector of Software, the software is the spirit of Hardware, same goes to Humans; the flesh and the spirit, they are different and HAS different purpose to exist, but works together if you wish to.
If Samsung would have at least 65w charging capability and have it inside the box alongside a cleaner software I would buy it without blinking.
