- Minnimup Beach 4WD sand dunes are located at Stratham a few kilometres to the south west of Bunbury on the coast of Western Australia. The dunes contain evidence of what is being called a Mega Tsunami that affected the west Australian coastline around 5 thousand years ago. These are the most southerly tsunami deposited sand dunes on the Perth coastal plain, and the first place the tsunami wave hit north of the south west Cape to Cape Margaret River region.
The beach is a popular location for 4 wheel drive vehicles which are allowed to drive on the beach at this location.
4K drone video shows the extend of the sand dunes and the extent of the sand wave snout which stretches far to the north of this location. In the distance are the more defined tsunami chevron sand dunes at Dalyelup, 10 km to the north west.
