@tomstc most bikes have black as a colour but what happened to white, cars still come in white, did anything happen for it to be like this? (I started riding in '22)
This is a so much better than the Beemer you tested earlier. Kinda makes you forget the BMW. I have the 650 besides my MT01. Suzuki is a great brand imo.
There's a reason they've been around for so long. Great bikes, and the tweaks and upgrades they've made have improved it massively. It's on my list of possibles when the Versys goes. Oh Thomas, what are you to do? Think you may have just answered that mate 👍
It'll do 99% what the big boys will do, for less money, and handles really well on the road if you can be bothered to play with the suspension. Solid engine will outlast the cockroaches, just bang it in top and ride the torque. I put 30K happy miles on the previous model, which I chopped in for my current 1290S.
After seeing Uncle Red has bought a 1050 V-Strom, I had a look at the prices & the used ones prices are awesome...Although a real huge hit has been taken by whoever bought them new! 😮👍 So only time will tell what you settle with mate, although I bet your away test riding KTM'S & Ducati's aswell by now! 🤪🤣👍
@myyoutubexd Hi, I'm 6'6 If you look at the rest of my vids you will see i actually brought one. Since buying it, I have rolled the bars forward and brought the 30mm higher seat. So far so good! Some guys buy the footpeg lowering kit too.
Thanks for a quick reply, a review of someone with similar height is so useful! What do you mean that you rolled the bars forward? Did you need some extra part for this, or you requested position change in dealership? 30mm higher seat... did you choose Suzuki higher seat? They mention that its 20 mm higher, not 30 mm. And last one, are you experiencing some problems with wind buffetting on highway speeds? I subscribed to your channel and will check your other videos, keep up the good work! There are not so many motorbike channels made by tall people!
@@myyoutubexd I undone the bar clamps and rolled them forward in the clamps, gives an inch or so more height, and more room to stand up when needed. The 30mm higher seat I brought separately, the standard seat I found very uncomfortable
Im 6'5" and I love the way I feel and look on mine. Its got the size and power I was looking for!
Probably be a better than any GS long term?
Love it in BLACK🖤 Choice of exhausts for this bike is Huge👍
Definitely, the yellow is great but not really my thing. Black suits it really well!!!

Brilliant bikes I absolutely love mine and I swapped from a 1200 GS. Quickshifter is awesome
They certainly are, quick shifter is a great addition

Certainly has more character! Which appeals to me!!!
I had a 2009 DL650 and am amazed by the number of things on this bike that are unchanged from my 2009 V-Strom.

Honestly, I'm seriously impressed with it, and analogue enough to make me grin.
Tall, comfortable, confidence boosting as well as the novelty of that V-engine.
Hehe, glad to see you enjoying it! ;)
Oh yes!

Could you explain "just bang it in top"

This is what I looked for! What is your heght mate? Also, are you finding yourself comfortable behind on 1050DE, or you feel that you need bar risers?

No not really, my issue.is the rock hard seat
