These five along with Guy Penrod were the best GVB ever! Not taking away from any since, because they are all so talented but love these guys! Perfect harmony!
I have always liked Mark singing Mary did you know but never got into listening to the Gathers. Recently my sons heard me talking about them and asked me had I ever heard David Phelps sing. I said yes he and Guy back up Mark. They laughed and said no mom go listen to David so I did. Wow!!!! I don’t know how he can hold those notes and he sounds like an angel. I haven’t felt a blessing in a long time like I feel when he sings!!! My oldest found this concert for me and I love it they are beautiful singers and get along so well. If I was in David’s family I would make him sing to me every day 😊
It absolutely boggles my mind that 24 people actually clicked "dislike" on this video! I am assuming most who watch these wonderful songs are Christians. How could you NOT be blessed by this song? Please tell me what is NOT to like? If you don't like the singing you have no musical taste whatsoever and if you don't like the song shame on you!! Try listening to it again with an open heart and open mind..then if you still don't like it you have some major problems.

There is nothing like "blessed by a song". You are already blessed IN Jesus Christ if you're on the narrow path and obey the Master, and there is no "more blessed" status by anything (music, preaching, pastor, church). 24 people clicked on "dislike"? So what? I don't think disliking equals hating Jesus and also liking does not mean automatically you're a real christian.

+Suzy Zehrung I'm not sure how long you have been on the internet and specifically on a page of Christian music, but there are groups of trolls who seek out pages like this to hit the dislike button and often leave very disgusting comments. They are to be completely ignored. They do it for attention. There is also the possibility that someone didn't like the music and/or message which they are entitled to do with the religious freedoms we are blessed with in Democratic nations. Just enjoy the music and don't be concerned with those who don't. I have seen the GVB in concert many times because I love the music -- not specifically the doctrine behind the lyrics. Just enjoy :*))

For me it was Guy Penrod, David Phelps, Mark Lowry and Bill Gaither. They all just blended perfectly.

If you dont feel blessed by this song something is wrong with you it makes me lift up my hands and just PRAISE THE LORD, David Phelps is a superb God blessed singer, his new songs and arrangements are superb too, the harmonising on this song though are just.....no words. God bless all these men.
One of the best songs. And David always adds flavour to these songs with his amazingly unique voice. He and Guy are the reason I listen to The GVB .

Gaither Vocal Band is one of the first set of gospel music groups that I have come across since I arrived Canada, and I fell in love with their songs, they remain one of my favorite groups till now.
Brilliant - just brilliant. David..I am running out of words to describe the gift you share with us..
Boy, I'll tell you...this song right here is POWERFUL! Brings a tear to my eye each time because I KNOW exactly what they're singing about. I don't know how the audience was able to contain themselves. If I was in that audience while this was being ministered, they would have had to put me in the way back (or probably in the sound booth so I wouldn't mess up the recording, LOL) because I would've been stomping, shouting, and praising all over that studio. I just simply cannot and refuse to stifle the Holy Spirit! Hey, FREEDOM, Jesus!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!

I wrote I Played in the Band and Sang in the Choir. It is a tribute to Rob Balmer who I went to high school with. He played first chair trombone and sang bass in the choir. Rob was stuck and killed by a passing car one night while crossing the street in front of his house. He only lived to be 20 but he loved God!!
I wrote I Must Tell Jesus in 1970. I had previously heard this song, Glorious Freedom, written by Haldor Lillenas the great Nazarene hymn writer. That is why the two songs 🎵 have the same tune.
Glorious freedom, this song was written in 1916, but it'll never loose it meaning of God's grace and Salvation, even if it was sang by these liberals.
It was SUNG by Jesus believing, God fearing men.

CaptMoo They told on one of their video that in 9 years there was only once that David beg off and couldn't do the heavy lifting. He came back for another run of several years and I'm so glad he did. The demands of his career in solo work took him away the second time .This video is different, really different from the rest. Love it
