The minis version has minis for the villains and masterminds. The retail version has standees for the villains and masterminds I think. The henchmen are meeples in both versions. Thematically the henchmen aren’t really Sentinels characters, just routine thugs so there isn’t really a reason for a mini.
Some of the scenarios are difficult. Some are a little bit easier. However, I think I only found one scenario to be a blowout in terms of just solving everything very quickly, and that may have been a fluke. I find it’s a good level of difficulty generally. - Kyle
I’ve never played defenders of the realm. I like marvel and dc. So would I like this game just because I like superhero’s? Do all the different scenarios play differently or does it all feel the same? Does it feel like a campaign game or more of a board game you can play in an hour with a group of friends that don’t play many board games?

If you like the superhero theme, this will be for you. These are superheroes from a different game, but it’s a well developed world with a lot of lore to discover if you want. Or if you don’t, you can just play the game! It is a campaign, but you can really play any scenario you want. I find now that I’ve completed the campaign that I just left everything opened and mixed in, and now I can play whichever scenario I like best. Most of the scenarios feel like variations on each other, but there are a few exceptions. Often, if it involves an enormous mini, it will be an exceptional scenario for example. But even the basic scenario is fun to play, you can swap in and out the different henchman for some variability. - Kyle

Is it an easy game to learn and teach within 10-15 minutes? Are the minis well painted or would I need to retouch them with a wash or something.
