Thank you for doing this thorough review including sound quality information. I just ordered two G5 Pros with the IR enhancers.
Thanks for the feedback. And I appreciate you watching.
Best review between G4 Pro and G5 Pro .. Thank you
damn the G4 Pro is a lot better than the G5 Pro in every kind of way. The mic on G5 sucks!... the IR sucks!. If you didn't have the Enchancer, the G5 wouldn't consider as a "good option"
Does the g5 pro with the enhancer not use the built in infrared lights
Thanks for the review and information.
Thanks for watching and commenting 🤝
Thanks for the comparison. One thing I notice is that with the enhancer, the IR is being emitted from further left and right of the camera. This results in there being wider shadows like a dark halo around from your body. It's mostly noticeable on the left and right. Without the enhancer, the two emitters are both located below the camera, resulting in there only being a shadow/dark-hallow above where your body. It is also not as wide as with the enhancer. I still like the enhancer, just noting how IR led location impacts shadows.
I totally agree. I wish the IRs were outward facing to help the nightvision when the enhancer wasn't activated.
Great review. Thank you.
Question for you or your viewers: what is the trigger for the 600 lumen flood? Is this something that can be set within the app by boxing out an area? I wouldn’t want it to come on with a car driving down the road, for example.
You can set activation zones and the sensitivity to those zones. So you have pretty great control over the flood light.
Hope this answers your question 👍
