- The Tavarish and Cleetus Freedom civic is kind of a pet project while down here in Florida. Had some transmission issues so we solved those now on to some tuning issues. This is the start of definitely something fun!! So join us and let’s make some Dyno rips on the fasterproms Roller!

When I saw this civic on Tavarish's channel I was commenting how it would be good if the boostedboiz and pfi got a hold of this thing got it working properly the next thing it gets taken to cleetus's workshop and then you guys turn up and fix it, so awesome!
That civic will be a ripper when the issues are sorted out and dialled in

That original tune wasn’t just muddy, it was Tavarish’d, I cant believe it even ran.

I was hoping Brent would dyno and put his tune up. Tavarish and his mechanic are sharp also. This is brents specialty though

Im glad it is getting the love i didn't have time to give it. I dont know if it will have the Carrillo rods like it is supposed to. Like i mentioned before that gearbox was supposed to be fully billet with carbon syncros....

@@Unlaced_kickz no, I was there helping him and Chris during the build off, and broke the axle after Tavarish won the challenge.

I love watching you guys work on a car like that. When they took it to the track it was making the runs squirrely and it is looking way better the way you tuned it. Keep up the awesome content, but always stay happy and healthy.
When I did my apprenticeship with Honda UK those Civic's were Brand New, I must have done the PDI on 100+ of those, the best we got here was the Jordan Civic 1.6 VTI with 160 hp, probably 130 wheel hp and I at 17 thought that was fast, then this beaten up wreck makes 600.... Fuck, I want one.
stonesie81 Lol, I looked too. There’s plenty of cheap ones about. I thought a UK twist might be cool, get a Rover 214 coupe and do that instead.

I love seeing the whole shakedown process for every build. The issues are fixed right there and not in the pits or on the side of the road somewhere where you lose much more time and money. There is also so much more to a dyno tune than making a pull and adjusting the tune. A lot of engine and drivetrain issues come to the surface right there in the shop and the way you guys go about fixing each new issue is great to watch.

I was literally going to ask if you had ever seen an intake manifold gasket blow like that and you said you haven't. Pretty cool Jamie was able to identify it that quickly too.
So basically, Tavarish never had any chance of running the times the car was advertised for with that jacked up tune.
tune itself was fine the bug shows up when you try read it. car would not even run with those values lol
It made 600whp on the tune that was in it so no it definitely could. Car is just way too beat though.

tune looks like it was corrupted or bugged, if the tables actually looked like that the car wouldn't even run. the tune that was actually on the car was probably a lot more "normal" looking

Even after all the hard work Brent puts into this ripper, as well as any other project, Brent is always smiling and laughing at the end of the day. So much positivity exudes from this guy, that it's amazing to me and I believe it's catchy as well. Always makes me feel better each and everyday I watch him, plus I wouldn't count out any of the others in this group out either. 😎

From watching PFI makes me want to buy a Honda.
They definitely motivated me to dust off my 8th gen Civic si that had been sitting for a while!
I'd definitely go a MR2 with a k series, after seeing Kyle's.
I haven’t had a turbo Honda in 17 years. Everyone of these PFI Honda videos makes me want to do a modern tech build on a basic bitch SOHC. E85 and modern ecu/timing controls could really help a SOHC do some work for pennies

A bad Rad cap will give you nightmares like this. However if its not it, Try tightening the headbolts a 1/4 turn when the engine is cold. It's possible the headbolts stretched might be enough to just put some known good headbolts.
I was like what the hell do they need Brake cleaner for?! seems I learned something new today :) Flammable to see which intake had the leak !

AT 7:25-7:35 you can see that the tire has expanded and is rubbing in the wheel well,and moving the fender and bumper surround.It'll cut and drag,slowing the car not to mention the danger.(I saw same in The Grinch before,but forgot by end of the tuning vid.)
Tape a crayon next to the wheel arch and check for wear.Please.This will work on any ride.

4:07 A rubber hose for the RADiator overflow not even an inch next to the wastegate dump is infact NOT gonna be melting all the time. Why, you ask? Well young padawan, once the car overheats the way it is designed to, the overflow hose will have water in it. So basically our rubber overflow is water cooled so it won't melt, checkmate.
We had the same problem with a corrupted tune X. Because it have an old software on s300 and ur laptop have the newest hondata software.
You guys just need to move out to Florida it just fits you guys
