Love the vibe. I’ll be checking out your shop when I’m out of Etsy jail for overspending. I can’t even get weekend release.😅😂😊

    Hi Taryn.
Subscriber from Denmark here🙋🏻‍♀️ Love your videos!
I was wondering if you could do a talk through of your bank situation. Not with actual numbers of course - just in general.
But I was just wondering how your banking system is set up. Do you have accounts matching your envelopes? Does it all go into 1 main account? Like how does it work and how do you keep track most importantly😅

I don't like thin flimsy bills either!! I take them back to the bank lol

This one gave me a headache. The prop money that looked like regular bills confused me and then you couldn’t really condense them properly. Great progress though just too confusing for my simple brain .

Thank you for the feedback. The prop bills represent money we have in that category so I guess it is good it looks like the real money. It is so you know exactly how much you have without losing out on earning interest in the HYSA.

Thank you so very much for doing this video even though it had obviously been a long hot day! Love the placeholders and I will have to buy some from you when I get that far (I absolutely love the items I already have from you)! Can I ask a quick question? How much cash would you suggest I keep on hand for emergencies? I don’t have credit cards xxx 🙏🏻🕊️🩷🌹

So for every day unexpected expenses or bills that are higher than i anticipated, I use the 1,000 i have in my checking account. I call that my cushion. I replenish if used. That is not an emergency fund but it helps you with those unexpected expenses. If you feel like you need something in physical cash, i wouldn't suggest more than 2,000....because it should be really be in a high yield savings account that you can access fairly quickly. I have Ally (sinking funds) and PNC (emergency savings), Ally I can literally transfer to the checking I have with them and PNC i can just transfer (1-2 days). I would never suggest putting emergency funds in an account, like a CD, that keeps you from accessing it should a true emergency happen.
