Svetlana ... what can one say about her except ... Perfection ... What I personally admire about her physicality is her expressive use of her arms and hands. Whatever role she is dancing/playing, my eyes are immediately drawn to her arms and hands.

To @Kozlinda I agree, in contemporary classical ballet 'The arms not uncommonly move in such a way that they can appear to be rather 'boneless' as it were, i.e., with marked bends at the wrists and elbows, in order to create a sinuous effect'.
Yes ,perfection ,a born ballerina and her arms and hands are unique, Baryshnikov picked her out especially because of them beside all her other great attributes. For me she is also the best 💓 Odette/Odile.
To @karennoble1076 I agree with you and @jessiahstalbirds.j.794. True, Zacharova made a favourable impression on Baryshnikov at a gala evening in Versailles France in 2001. Zacharova was then 22. Yes she has perfect legs and feet and those famous Russian 'wrists' too.
Love seeing this video. I noticed how much more she used her arms. She’s now more subtle but Sveta will always be beautiful 😍

The great Prima in her guest star appearance with Paris Opera, deliciously indulging in the gifts God gave her and few can equal. I saw her live many times and her stage presence is indescribable. Even in this early antique filming with bad lighting, you can appreciate her light.
This is the NUREYEV production which opened the Paris Opera Ballet season at the Metropolitan early 80s. First cast was ISABELLE GÜERÍN, Elizabeth Platel 2nd, and the one everyone was longing for SYLVIE GUILLEM 3rd.
The production is sumptuous, rich, and extravagant. Like Rudy.The costumes breathtaking, the shades tutus unbelievable 😎. I love this production, sets, choreography, and costumes. With the exception of that ridiculous orange skirt hiding La ZAKHAROVA's legs. She should have tossed it in the 🔥 fire pit from the first act. I remember talking to La GÜERÍN about it, and she sighed rolling her 👀!!!

I have seen the moving Svetlana Zacharova/ Roberto Bolle Giselle on UA-cam and must admit it is the finest overall pairing I have ever experienced in all the years I have been watching ballet in person and online. The deeply sad, memorable ending brings tears to my eyes without fail....it is so utterly convincing.
To @classicalaid1 True, Zacharova's and Bolle's Giselle is quite impressive. One can see and feel Zacharova's nice rapport with Bolle during their 'death scene'. You'd cried. I was moved. Still on yt, of the 'Giselle Full Ballet Length by Bolshoi Ballet Theatre, by @ The Dances, Inc. At @ 2:19:41 there's Polunin holding Zacharova's hands, and next, you see Zacharova descends slowly down into the grave. The sight is enough to cause one to cry.

Just wonderful, thank you. Must admit, I am not a fan of her costume . I don’t know if it’s the colour m it’s too strong or is it the skirt an the pants? Perhaps just have 1 of them, then maybe the skirt would be too short. Everyone else is very richly dressed so perhaps she had to be but - it’s just something, You can’t see her beautiful movement. Sorry, just my opinion. 🩰🩰🩰🩰🩰🙏🙏👵🇦🇺
