how is the hilti fastening system more beneficial than a weld? would the constant expanding and contractions basically pop the pin. just asking since ive seen that happen firsthand using hilti
Most puddle welds fail because they’re supposed to come at least an 1/8 above the deck with no porosity since you’re making a puddle! I know I’ve failed a deck inspection before it’s embarrassing when they say you can’t weld a puddle or your puddle weld is no good
I honestly would trust a shity weld then a Hilti fastener if it had to hold me up on a piece of decking those guns work okay then it screws up leaving you to have to make more holes in your joists I'm not an engineer but I honestly think you shouldn't make holes in Joyce's keep note when you will the decking down even though the welding the shity when they pour the concrete it ain't going anywhere

Also I know guys that would beat that gun in welding it all depends on the welder
