  • After five or six years without serious editing, this hedera bonsai needs thorough remake...leaf cutting, removing unnecessary branches and rewiring.

    I love tree's that you don't see often as bonsai,i love the styling you have done in a couple of years.
    Hope to see the tree once in real life,hope to see you at the next Noelanders trophy.

    I've tried to start one of these several times now with no luck. You must have a magic touch. Beautiful tree.

      But why? Hedera is extremely hardy and vigourous tree...almost impossible to kill.
      And a fast and wild grower.
      You can even find a ten or twenty of smaller ones...tie them togeather and make a fatter tree.
      Really...very strong species.

    what a beautiful ivy!whod've thought a plant that grows as a vine could be trained to look like that.im really enjoying watching your vids and they're giving me so many ideas for my own trees!thank you so much.

    It's a very nice tree, but i wonder what your thoughts are on the "line" from the previous smaller pot? it's something my eyes notice immediately. But then raising the soil level might not be fitting for the pot?

    how did you get the trunk so thick on a Hydra? I've had mine for 6 years and cut it back every year and there is still no thick trunk.

      Dont cut for some years. I have a ivy, too, and i made the mistake to cut every year. Give it time.

    Muy linda si, pero q alguien me diga en q lugar existe una planta de estas caracteristicas naturalmente? Ya les contesto.... en ningun lado, es una enredadera y estas nunca crecen de esta manera...."has q tu bonsai parezca un arbol y no q un arbol parezca un bonsai"
