This is probably my favorite video that used to be on UA-cam. I was so pissed when it was removed and it took me forever to find it. So when I did I uploaded it here so others could find it too. No copyright infringement was intended, Iron and Wine is my favorite! - Комедії
I am kind of coming to the conclusion this maybe the best song ever written.
Word!
I definitely think so especially this live verion
I am kind of coming to the conclusion that this may be the best comment ever written
Correct
I've yet to find better...... and I've looked. The easy way to tell is that this song is 7+ minutes long.... and if I ever start it... I have to finish it. Every. single. time.
this is the best version.
my favorite too. I've sung this more times than I can count.

You speak truth
I know that this is an old comment, but agreed! I prefer his acoustic renditions by a mile!
I agree with all of ya. I revisit this version a few times a year and it never gets old.
That was ridiculously delightful.
I always have so much respect for a crowd that DOESN'T cheer for the "Fuck the Man." line. You're mid way through one of the most spellbinding audio poems ever written, if you have the urge to cheer out loud, you're clearly not getting it.
This song, and his performance is hypnotic.
When music and poetry meet in perfection.
I love Sarah's contribution here. Amazing duo!
Makes me cry every time 😭
This hypnotizes me every time, wish i was there.
I cried
Wish I was there to witness this. Beautiful
3:19 the feels when she joins in
Just PERFECT!!!.. Love also Gregory Alan Isakov's version of this song.
Love this version, but personally think Isakov’s cover is terrible.
The other is a cover, not a "version"
This is....intense!
What a tune.
This song is so entrancing. Even makes my soul quiver abit.
I think this is the best version other than the symphony but you two should do more of this style together. I've watched them all, but together you two create magic.
Such a uniquely constructed song. It’s all verse no intro, bridge or chorus really.
dont watch this if your 5 whiskey's deep.
Ooooh, I would say that's the best time to watch it!
* you're
The essence of politeness and good manners is to make other people feel comfortable. Correcting someone's grammar might embarrass them, and would therefore be rude. You wouldn't Purposely go out of your way to belittle somebody online would you? maybe you would but for more than likely other underling issues such as lack of companionship intelligence maybe even the lack of talent ect ect, But to pounce on anyone's typographical misstep after they have had 5 whiskeys is a poor show Alexander. Good Night to you,Squire.
Samuel Leake shush
Alexander King Tough to get grammar kurrekt 5 wisskeyss dheep
You both are magical together, absolutely beautiful . Thank you.
I'm not crying, you're crying.
Simply beautiful tune 😊❤️🎶🎼
omg this last stanza makes me cry hard
A quick shoutout for those who have yet to experience Gregory Alan Isakov’s cover of this song. Go treat yourself, you will be forever grateful that you did.
Jesus, THANK YOU. I was pissed when it was removed, too!!!! I am forever in your debt. I was almost ready to stop looking for it!!
I’m a simple man with few words. This is so beautiful, complicated and stunning. I found this band in a vegan restaurant. So simple. So beautiful. It was so random. I asked the server, do you know this song. She said Iron And Wine. Went straight to my flat and explored. What an amazing song. Thank you beautiful artists. Trapeze Swinger touches my soul. It hurts and makes me cry. Absolute perfection. Thank you for this song.
Thank you for finding this! This is my favorite live recording of the Trapeze Swinger.
Thank you so much for reuploading this!
Thanks for saving this video. I used to watch it a lot. Now it's possible again :)
Stunning
thank you for uploading this again!
Thank you so much for reuploading this. My favorite version of all time.
+Patt21erson I was very happy to do it, I was so disappointed when they took it down, I just had to put it back up!
yo this is way better than the orignal youtube upload, this is in a lot better quality nice find! if you have more plz share I love all of his live music
Been finding this video too. I have the mp3 ver. but man, this hits different. Thanks!
who the hell can see forever…
Such humility he has! It's great
What a powerful song damn
This is beautiful.
My favorite version of this song
Thanks for getting this video back on youtube. was also pissed when it was gone.
"Shameless self promotion for my folk band ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" Haha, no worries, going to check out your stuff. Have fun in Pittsburg! Thanks for posting this.
This song saved me thank you sir.
Fantastic.
And please remember me, at Halloween
Making fools of all the neighbors
Our faces painted white, by midnight
We'd forgotten one another
And when the morning came I was ashamed
Only now it seems so silly
That season left the world and then returned
And now you're lit up by the city
So please remember me, mistakenly
In the window of the tallest tower
Call, then pass us by but much too high
To see the empty road at happy hour
Gleam and resonate just like the gates
Around the Holy Kingdom
With words like, 'Lost and found' and 'Don't look down'
And 'Someone save temptation
thank you thank you
I know of Gregory.. but this is the first time I opened iron and wine singing this.. it's beautiful.. it feels like what's happening in the world right now.. amazing.
It is originally by Iron and Wine, Gregory only covered this. I love Gregory's version too, but Iron and Wine's Sam Beam voice says much more than the lyrics. Incredible song.
i'm not cryin. ur cryin...
i checked out the band in your description. you guys sound amazing :)
Hey thanks so much :) we're putting out a new album soon! Very excited about it
so cool
I can't even
6:42 that wave of unison
Not sure if he smokes but I would in a heartbeat..
Hey quick question! I remember there is another video of him and his sister signing Tree By the River in this very session, was that removed as well? im looking and looking but can find it.
🌻
What version of Resurrection Fern is that at the end?? Anyone know?
Theres something so soothing about the harmony of these two; a husband and wife bond; two best friends transcending their all into this performance. I can loop this song for the whole day and not get sick of it. I cant help but think about last fall driving to Laconia, New hampshire from Boston with a group of friends and thinking how perfectly fitting this song would be quietly playing the background as we go through the forests, mountains and that log-cabin-new-england town feel.
I thought it was his sister.
It’s his sister
Does anyone have the video/ audio for boy with a coin at this venue it got taken down and it was my favorite version of it please!
they missed the save temptation part huh? :(
Wheres part 1 and 2? The video has been removed with the high quality. I remember them singing Tree by the River and i cant seem to find it anymore.
enZo it's on vevo - all 3 parts
Do you have the boy with a coin video he played on this set? Anyway you could upload it?
when was this performed? I would love to know witch live performance this was during(so i can look up the rest of this set)
This is my favorite performance by them, but I have been looking forever for when they play boy with the coin at this show, do you happen to have that part?
I will shamelessly check out your folk band since you were kind enough to upload this. I'll report back with my thoughts, here's hoping you don't suck
Well thanks, Andrew!
Sarah Beam is beautiful.
oh wow I forgot this was the version where he skipped two whole versus lol!
+aksa100 Oh wow! Does he really? Which ones does he skip?
+Nick Snyder "Please remember me at Halloween" and "Please remember me, mistakenly."
Halloween is best verse. Sadly I feel as if the lady singing with him on this version ruins the simpleness of the song for me .
Right. Admit your brother has a good voice, you don't and find another hobby.
Anyone know when this was? I was actually there in the front somewhere.
Does anyone know who the harmony part is sang by?
his sister sarah

This a beatiful cover .. but the way that Allan Gregory sang it, he put emotion into each sentence.
It's not a cover. It's an original song by iron and wine
I think you got that backwards. Isakovs cover was beautiful
I wish that dude sounded more like hippie, idk what a loser right? I like the change in tempo but I don't feel like I got my money's worth. I paid nothing, ,**** I talked too much again.
Would have loved if he sang the whole thing by himself. The extra dimension loses the intimacy of the song imo
Gregory Alan Isakov definitely does this song better.
They're both excellent. The way that Sam sings in his style really brings out the emotions in the words. I'm a die-hard Isakov fan. This one however really makes me sense the loss Sam feels when he sings the words from the narrative.
Said no one ever!
Thank you so much for reuploading this!
