I was in an accident where my spine was crushed in4 placed, broke a hip, shoulder, ribs, punctured lungs, lost my bladder etc. my friend asked me not to make a claim because she didn’t want her premiums to go up. Me being young and dumb, I didn’t claim. So here I sit in my wheelchair over 15 years later finding it crazy that people feel the need to claim over the most minor of ‘injuries’
My sister lost the large diamond out of her solitaire engagement ring. Here in Australia, they did not give her cash or any payment to get it replaced, the ring went to a jeweller who replaced it with a similar quality diamond and the insurance company paid him directly. I assume that was to prevent people getting cash or direct deposits which I think was a good idea. I have never made a claim in my life apart from my car being hit up the rear by a taxi in 1984. I truly did get whiplash, he hit me so hard that my stereo shot out of the dash, my petrol tank ruptured and he pushed my boot in up to the rear window. No sign of whiplash until the next morning when I could not lift my head off the pillow. No extra claims about not being able to ride a bike and losing my business. I got AUD$2500 as I just wanted the whole thing to be done. These “people” are just parasites and make me sick!
it's sad that these crooks make it harder for real claims to be processed in a timely fashion as it seems everyone will be scrutinized to ensure claims are not fraudulent. You know they only catch a small percentage which affects all of our premiums.
21:50 In this day and age, who's not going to pull out their phone and record a ferrari crashing (usually incorrectly in portrait mode, but regardless it would be recorded) The problem with lying on insurance and getting declined (apart from it being criminal), is that you'll never get insurance again. This means if you do get a nice car / or a house that you want to insure (even contents), you're stuffed.
I think it’s a good idea to check and those who lose goods the insurance company should just replace good lost in all cases, so the claimant doesn’t get money but repairs and replacement products it would be a lot cheaper for the insurance companies
My shed was broken into years ago and a lot of cased tools stolen I didn’t find all the receipts but the bank was still going to pay out they asked if I wanted the cash value or the goods stolen replaced I got the goods the same makes as was stolen the bank were lovely . It is a better idea and saves the insurance company a lot of money
I'm surprised 3 more people didn't come forward to say they were also on the bicycle...
Greed was the motivator and downfall lol

Sounds like the biggest pile of Bovine dung.

They wreck it for genuine claims.

The thieves shouldn’t receive anything
If someone ever asks the uundercover surveillance guy what he does for a living what does he say? Presumably he works in insurance.
If he's undercover, I doubt he'd say he's in insurance. More likely he'd say he's in 'finance'. Not the truth but not a lie.

12:45 so the insurance company rejected the claim with no actual proof!? That's enough for me to never buy any kind of insurance again
Faked receipts are not evidence?
