  • This is the fourth time I met some friends at Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch for some ‘wheeling. This is a group of mostly Jeeps from the ‘40s and ‘50s, with a couple newer Jeeps and my Bronco rounding out the group (not all vehicles were on all of the trails).
Not a real exciting video. Dixie Trail is a steep, loose descent, with some ledges and off-camber bits that lean you into trees. Just risky enough to get the adrenaline up!
And that concludes this year’s trip to SMORR. Huge thank you to Alan, Blake,Brian, Dale, Fuzz, Jeff, Jerrod, JW, Kris and Wade for making this a great trip for Lesley and me!
My Bronco is a ‘71 with a carbed 302 V-8. It has an 8000 lb Warn winch on a receiver mount, NV3550 5 speed manual trans, Atlas transfer case with 4.3:1 low range, and 4.11 axle gears (71:1 crawl ratio). It has a 9” rear with a Detroit locker, a cut-and-turned high pinion Dana 44 front with an OX locker. I was running 33/12.50-15C BFG All-Terrain KO2 tires at 11 psi.
