Maybe there was a lot more drama with Maria than what was shown. Joey liked her and kept giving her grace hoping her confidence and indecisiveness would improve. At one point the drama was just too much for him and he decided that he couldn't deal with it for a lifetime, so even though he chose Maria for hometowns, he chose to let her go because even then she couldn't express or commit to loving Joey. I hope Maria is able to get help and grow.
I think Maria played the game of "I want you to come after me" and it didn't work!!!!! :(

I often get interested whenever there are any Canadians represented. However, I wasn't on team Maria from the very beginning. She always wanted to flirt seeing how she did all she could to wear the most revealing clothes. But even more important was that in the end she was desperate to get Joey's attention by asking to talk one last time. But even then, given the opportunity, she blew it telling him how she felt. I think she knew that 'her goose was cooked'. The other 3 were able to look in his eyes waiting for who would get the roses. Maria didn't once lock eyes with him.
She lost me during the cocktail hour when she changed into a slinky outfit.
Maria didn’t blow it. She didn’t like Joey. He’s not her type. She is trying to make a play for Bachelorette, but it ain’t working. 😂 She’s not sincere in any of this process. She’s using it as a platform to become famous like a previous bachelorette. I hope 🌹 Daisy 🌹 is the next bachelorette. 🌹
Totally agree I think she is emotional immature so happy Joey let her go..she definitely was not for him I wish he did not even give her the chance for hometowns someone else like Jen would have been better.. She has alot of growing up to do and definitely emotionally

I’m so over these girls and parents acting like they don’t know the process of the show. And the ones that claim they’ve never watched it. Come on! They All know what’s going on before they apply‼️

Maria doesn't want to get hurt, and she navigates the situation cautiously and coyly in order to avoid getting hurt. I think about her father saying that if Maria gets hurt, that's "going to be a problem for Joey." That, I would argue, is a problem for Maria. Some of the other dads spoke with confidence in their daughters, that they would be able to handle what came to them, and that to be open regarding their feelings for Joey may be worth the risk. They believe in their daughters. Maria's dad is certainly well intended, but he spoke as if he is not confident in her ability to handle a painful situation.

BORING season. None of these women had chemistry with Joey except Maria, but she got shot herself in the foot with her game.
