Try getting the imported Michelin PSR. The locally sourced ones are very very inferior to them. An mrf revz would be a much better option than the locally made Michelins.
Good to see that most of the tyre manufacturer providing tyres to almost all the motorcycle out there.. but still their one motorcycle The Bajaj Avenger which has only one tyre manufacturer for the rear tyre 130/90 R15 MRF tyre. Most of the tyre manufacturers ignore this motorcycle. Now few may argue that there is a tyre called Ralco Speed Blaster with a up size of 140/90 R15 off road tyre, I would say that a off road tyre on cruiser will completely change the handling and characteristics of the bike..the stock MRF tyre doesn't gives u confidence while breaking, leaning.. we the Bajaj Avenger owners looking for few options for rear tyre with stock size i.e 130/90 R15.. If anyone from tyre manufacturer reading this comment , please provide us a rear tyre for Bajaj Avenger, size 130/90 R15.

Hi there Oggy ....loved all of your videos, you see I've been riding on the metzellers for about a decade ....wanted to try a cheap set this time on one of my 390s, after seeing this video I was pretty convinced after what you had to say about this set, it's just that when ever I've seen the tyre (the ceat), the profile looks alot flatter than compared to the metzellers, hence wanted to know the cornering ability as compared to the metzellers....also wanted to know if you've had the opportunity to ride them on wet and damp surfaces and their performance on the same..also wanted to know of the compounds of the tyre are in any way similar to each other( i.e. the metzellers and the ceat)
The Ceats are good but may not give you the same level of performance that the metzellers offer. The tyre profile seems flat but once installed, it curves a bit more. I've not had the chance to try them in the wet unfortunately but I have tried the Apollo alpha H1 tyres and they worked very well in the wet too. Do consider those as well.

The power delivery on the RR isn't very aggressive and it has ABS too. I would recommend that you get a 150 to begin with and then upgrade once you've learnt the basics of handling and braking.
Pls suggest tyres both front & rear for Karizma 2004 model ( size 2.75x18 & 100/90-18) and if switching to tubeless on the stock magwheel would be a good idea ?
I haven't pushed them to their limits (both metzellers or ceats) but neither felt like they were losing grip when I was a bit adventurous in the corners.
I have used this tyre for about 12K kms. Post approx 10K kms the grip is giving away.. its not gripping the road as it use to till 10K. Using it on D250. Planning to upgrade with Pirelli.
Apollo ALPHA H1 - good blend of performance and longevity, Ceat Zoom rad - budget tyre that's great for the city and a bit of touring, Michelin Pilot street - long life and good in the rains too from what I've heard.

Can i upsize the tyre size oggy? Like for Duke 250 the stock one on the rear wheel is 150/60-17 can i put 160 or 180/60-17 tyres? Is it possible.. And if yes what will be the result?
Should be possible provided the swingarm accommodates it. But also keep in mind that a wider tyre will affect handling... A 160 maybe not so much but a 180 probably would slow down how responsive your bike feels in the turns.
Haven't had a chance to ride with the Apollos but this grips very well. I don't push my bike to it's limit on public roads or highways but these didn't move an inch out of line when I was riding in the city or highway.

The wet grip on them was horrible. I switch to mrf revz a few months later. didn't have any vibration issues though.

Alpha H1 or Ceat Rad x1 ...?? For dominar which one is better
Alpha H1. I didn't get to test the ceats in the rain so can't confirm if they perform well in the wet. The Apollos worked very well in the rain.

Pirelli Diablo rosso 2 is the best option. Upgraded to them 1 year back and trust me it's the best for roads but wear off soon like 6k

12K is fine I guess, considering the soft compound rubber.
