In the Hambali position about abandoning the salat being kufr (disbelief) , the thing to keep in mind is that the individual can and usually repents and comes back to praying before death, even on the deathbed. What counts is the state of the person at death.

Asalaamu alaikum, question: I know there is a difference of opinion here but I am not sure which is Hanbali…If a woman is pregnant and fast Ramadan but the next Ramadan she is breastfeeding and she finds it hard to make up her period missed fast and then gets pregnant again and this pregnancy she couldn’t fast out of hardship and then the next Ramadan comes and the cycle continues… this happens often when a woman has many children back to back…it’s easy to miss fast and find it difficult to make them up in the year…what should the woman do? Can she feed the poor in replacement or must she find some way to eventually make up fast? If a woman misses an entire Ramadan out of hardship…30 fasting days are not easy to make up. Allah knows best. What are the rulings on a woman in this situation?
