    Chris could kick ass in any genre. We would have got used to him singing in Soundgarden and then with Audioslave, but I think his solo records were second to none. He always did what he wanted to do and did fking good doing it. Total respect to that!!! He is a legend and you know.....at least he left behind a lot of him in his music. So we just need those Bics held up and turn those tracks up!!!!!

    I don't get the hate. I'm a fairly long time Soundgarden fan as well as a fan of other Seattle/grunge era bands and Audioslave and the rest of Cornell's solo rock albums. Went to one of the 1st shows for this tour and when the music started , I was among the many going "W...tf?" Picked up the cd a couple days after and gave it a few listens and its become a continual favorite of mine. I used to say that Chris Cornell could sing the phone book and I'd love it. Apparently he can sing anything.

    I wasn't a fan of this album or song when it came out but as I let time pass and I come to it, I realize how much of a musical genius Chris is. The man was always outdoing himself and breaking down the walls that would commercially confine you. He did not sell out. It honestly makes sense that he did this album, it was right up his alley. How could we expect him not to do this? His sound was ever evolving. Who knows where he would have gone in time. RIP Chris, you meant more than you know.

      And there you go: " ... who knows where he would've gone in time." He was already *Outshine*'ing so many other artists; you couldn't keep this true musician down. His creative genius would've led him to further stellar success; I could only guarantee it. So terribly, horribly sad that we can only imagine that, now; we'll never get to see it. 😢😢🎸🔮🪄🌟⚡🕯

      Chris was awsome in all those bands and in solo. Both bands were 2 of my favourites bands of alltime. They had great names (and it's rare) with significant and simple meaning (thanks to Chris) and amazing songs that sounded like no one else. I would love your input on our last video from our first album. It got the attention of one of my heroes Joe Bouchard (ex bass player founding members of BÖC) who is following us on Soundcloud but returns from people who likes same music is always the best. If you have just 3 minutes to listen and a bit more to comment, that would mean the world to me. Keep rockin' : ua-cam.com/video/kFxeV8oom3U/v-deo.html

    All I'm saying is that had it not been for this song, I probably would not have known who Chris Cornell was. And I certainly would not have been exposed to his other body of work. Please stop hating. This is what artists do, they are creative creatures who experiment and push boundaries from time to time. We may not like it, but it at least attracts new fans which equals an increase in album sales. Rest In Peace Mr Cornell.

      @brendajackson13 7 років тому +3

      Raul Flores I used to listen to a lot of Alternate Rock in the 90s, my favourite radio station at the time would play tons of it. Then they changed strategy and started including other genres to attract a wider audience and Alternate Rock became less of a priority. But that is a lousy excuse to not listen to it now, I should make an effort to find it...at the very least online.

A great experimental and successful foray into new spaces that still spiritually feels very much a part of Chris' ethos. The entire album also conceptually never has a pause in music and has great experimental and sweeping interludes between each song so the entire thing is intended to be a complete immersive journey without any cuts.

    I just discovered this song, if I heard it years ago, I probably wouldn't have like it. Chris was an artist not a one dimensional, one trick pony. He'd pushed his artistic boundaries..and I'm glad this exists!

    i can't believe why people are hating on chris, he wanted to experiment something new, and he did it, by working with one of the best producers ever (timbaland), the song is catchy and cool, but scream is way better

      The tune it's actually awesome, but... the lyrics are pure shit, it's sadly to say :( I was so excited for this album, the i heard this song and i was like yeaaaah!! Catchy tune!! But then i read the lyrics, and i was like , chris, c'mon that turns you into a great asshole... In my opinion :( (sorry for english)

      cuz this song sucks major shit
      but Cornell was the man.

      @@BurnInHell765 exactly! I like the way Chris Cornell was moving from one genre of music to the other, but I could not imagine him to sing lyrics such as "Oh, that bitch ain't a part of me, No, that bitch ain't a part of me,I said no, that bitch ain't a part of me, No, that bitch ain't a part of me"!

    I am so grateful for this song. If it weren't for that pop song, I would have not get to know his music as a teenager. After I heard this song, I searched through his other songs and this is when my life long love to grunge started. Btw. I really like the song!

    The Chris Cornell "fan base" is hilarious to me. He starts experimenting with new sounds and everyone jumps ship. It's fine if you don't like this style of music he tried, many of his classic fans wouldn't, but to say he isn't right for this music or this is a midlife crisis or whatever is ridiculous - he's just branching out! And in my opinion, I'd rather hear Chris Cornell sing electro-pop than any other artist. Hell, I'd rather hear Chris Cornell singing almost any song. I too prefer his regular style, but I enjoyed this for what it was.

      +Tristan Neal CC has been experimenting with new sounds throughout his entire career with Soundgarden, and with Temple of the Dog, and then with Euphoria Morning, and we all loved all his different styles, because it was all amazing music.
