Hey Jonathan! How can I reach to you with a funny and unorthodox opening line? Well let me just drop the moves here.. it is a gambit for black pieces, perfect for blitz or bullet as after the double pawn sacrifice, white needs to find the only move 😁
At 10:15 my instinct is to always develop a new piece with check (bf4), but its often the incorrect move. I need to slow down and calculate which check is correct. In this case the knight check stops the king from running to c5
Nice video! Thanks for sharing this new version of an already awesome gambit! Honestly, I had not even heard of the Nakhmanson gambit till two days ago and seeing that it can be played a little differently is great! Thank You, Professor!
I mean I just discovered your channel in the past couple weeks and your quickly becoming one of my favorite chess instructors. Id seen your stuff with st louis chess club but your lessons here are fantastic! I hope you get the growth you want because you deserve it!
Btw about Nakhmanson popularity. There is a Russian channel Levitov chess where they have a lot of different content like exclusive interviews with Magnus, Karpov, Kasparov and so on. But the most popular video by a big margin is just a short game where GM Shimanov plays Nakhmanson. And btw he seems to watch your channel because he also mentioned beaver gambit
I’m just learning how to play chess and your channel has become my go-to for absorbing chess knowledge, just learning by watching and increasing my board literacy. I love the vibes here which is why I keep coming back lol
Great video and a very beautifu attacking game with a very cool bishop and queen mate. I think this opening actually does have a name, and it is Canal gambit
I remember a few months ago GothamChess and Hikaru made a list of a lot of the different openings and gambits. When they got down the list to the Nakhmanson, the following conversation took place- Levy: Do you know the Nakhmanson? Hikaru: I'm not sure. Levy: It goes like this (he played the first 3-4 moves) Hikaru: Oh, right, this is the one from that Johnathan guy in Saint Louis. I was in Twitch chat dying laughing. 😂😂
This has been played against me already some weeks before this video. I don't remember what happened. I think I gave the piece back immediately but it was definitely this.
I really enjoy your repertoire propositions, but I can't figure out a good weapon as black against d4 Nf6 c4 e6 Nf3, all the main choices seems too boring to me 😭
just play d4 nf6 c4 g6 and go for grunfeld if nc3 and if nf3 then just kings indian because the samich is the only scary variation against it… or just play d4 d5 c4 c6 and go into the semi slav which is also exciting
nice one shrantz, give the pieces away at the start, and then ur side is so overweightedly to win, but how long till everybody knows? then u have to proove your better some more not so easy to win at chess.
Just tell me how I won't be tagged as a cheater after playing this line? Levy for sure would tag me as a cheater, saying "Oh, look, he's playing all the right moves and doesn’t even taking time to think! Ladies and gentleman, he's definitely cheating!"
I think maybe you need more click bate like titles. Emulate Gotham chess more, comment on Magnus games with massive click bate titles and artistry that isn't just for your face 🤷 I would subscribe multiple times if I could. But I suspect the issue is people are just not finding your videos
Damn, must learn more theory because of another trash gambit. People who play such openings are the reason why I feel ashamed that we're the same species.
Wow. Comments like yours make me question the whole kingdom, phylum, order, etc. species hierarchy. I don't want to share anything with someone that would make such a rude comment. How much did you pay for this content Mr. Dick? Did you even allow ads to show? I pity you.
hi
hello :D loving the uploads dr schrantz 8)
Why is it not called the Jonathan Schrantz gambit?
Urusov Gambit Chessable course when? 🙏🙏

1. e4 d5 2.exd5 Nf6 3. c4 e6 4. dxe6 Bc5 5. exf7+ Kxf7 ...I call it the Gandalf Gambit 😂
10 years later:
Database: 420th Nakhmanson Gambit, 69th Jonathan Countergambit, Vampire Chicken Defense, Engines Breaker Variation
🤣🤣🤣
hahah brilliant one!
This is pretty selfish of me, but I don’t want your channel to blow up because this is where I get all my secret blitz prep
Honestly, I feel pretty much the same.
It's so satisfying to crush opponents like you who plays bs openings like this one or Stafford, Englund and so on.
@@Amoeby Chill bruh, good vibes in the comments only
@@mercuryatamolos3687 sorry, I'm not the one who acts different because that's what people like to see.
@@Amoeby Whatever you say man, have a nice day 😊❤️

Imagine if someone mixes up nakhmanson, Stafford, orthoschnapp and Jerome all together for the ultimate gambit
I don't know what all these gambits sacrifice but it sounds like you have sacced half your board by that time :D
Sounds like "Immortal game"
Oh hell nah that would probably scare every chess player on earth lol

Your UA-cam gambit of being the Gambit Guy gets me to watch. Plus you beat Stockfish, well kind of ....LOL
Sorry, but this new Nakhmanson is very old, known as the Canal-variation. The main refutation was played by Rey Ardid in 1935.

From position at 2:10 the game is so to say lost for black. I found an even shorter way than here shown. I love this gambit 😊
12:36 does Bf5 work for black? It does defend the queen if white plays Bf7 and it develops a piece... (maybe I'm missing something)
Would love to see a followup theory video. Learning theory is so important.
Great work on the video, nice game...also don't be to hard on yourself, only practice makes perfect
16:09
Qc5# was great as well
Nakhmanson Gambit: Patrick Variation
Trying this one out immediately! Brilliant game
Great video and a very beautifu attacking game with a very cool bishop and queen mate. I think this opening actually does have a name, and it is Canal gambit
Please don’t feel down! You’re the reason I play the French :)
Lol
Somehow this doesn't seem dodgy as a any other gambit. Just very effective. Nice moves! ;)

Why did the opponent not take the Bishop with his pawn at 15:10?
I’d love to see more videos on this opening
At 15:00 Why not take their black Bishop with your white Bishop? There will not be a Queen trade in that line.
Just watched this again; still great
Hi Jonathan, this looks like a lot of fun. Can you please show some more theory on this gambit please? Thanks! Kim
Currently preparing this for a chess tournament
This has been played against me already some weeks before this video. I don't remember what happened. I think I gave the piece back immediately but it was definitely this.
After c6 by black ,you play the "fantastic move" Q to e3, but does Bf7 with check don't win the queen?
Very cool king hunts showcased!
Ooh, beautiful backup weapon!
It's called " Italian Game, Scotch Gambit, Canal Variation"
At 07:47 why not play Qe5+ to win the rook instead?
He's going after the big fish
Nice new gambit
Good stuff!!! Thx!
Amazing stuff
Bc4 - because the problem with nakhmanson always was jonathan "don't tell me what I can do stockfish" schrantz wasn't saccing enough pieces! XD
Added to my repertoire!
outrageous thumbnail :D

The bogo-Indian might be worth a try, it can have a few tricks, I can link a video or two if you want
@@airokeys._.8940 okay, i'll give it a shot
your videos are great, keep at it.
Was this a bullet game?
There was a game of van Wijgerden vs Yusepov . If i was Black i would play 7...Be6 and just sit there :P
Great video
Very good análises...thanks
Amazing, new gambit alternative to nakhmanson.
great video thank you
Good one. Lets in next video: "New Jerome gambit"

The Newkmahnson
Ah shit here we go again
this is the delayed nakhmanson

Hey, how you doing man😄
That's not new at all. It's already in my 50 years old Keres.
Very nice :)
11. ... Be7 is much better than 11. ... Ne7 -> 11. ... Be7 12.Bxb2 Bf5 13. Re2 or Rf4 ...
Nice video
So, you are also amiable fellow with a m a z i n g g a m e s.
If I play like this, I'll be accused of cheating.
No you won't, for the simple reason it's not stockfish approved
if you keep making the soyboy face in the thumbnails it makes it very hard to share these vids with friends
I liked more Qc5#
Love it
