God's Purpose for Christmas

But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons.
Galatians 4:4-5
​You know, sometimes we give Christmas gifts for the wrong reasons. We give gifts to retaliate, get even with somebody. Or we give gifts out of obligation. "Our neighbors gave us some peanut brittle last year. We'd better have something to give to them this year."
​But God's gift given to us at Christmas was exactly for the right purpose. Here is God’s perfect purpose, to redeem those under law that we might receive the full rights of sons.
