@@thechroniclegamer4285 Doesn't make much sense tbh, the Banished is full of ex Chieftain. After the Covenant war ended Atriox kind of got arguably the majority Brutes to side with him instead of Covenant splinters.
This is exactly how I imagine it would be in the lore. The flood breaking the covenant line causing a moshpit of chaos where the only thing you can do is try to survive.
Would make sense too since in the lore cold is supposed to slow the flood down a little bit and areas that are suffering from outbreaks on installations will have their climate set to cold for this reason. The covenant would have unknowingly set up in an area where there was an outbreak and after coming under attack decided to set up the auto turrets as a perimeter.

Fun fact, there's only one mission in the Halo 3 campaign where you can see/create silver Elite combat-forms. It's the mission where the infested ship crashes near the city in Africa (can't remember any names). It requires a bit of manual work from the player, involving shoving some dead silver armored bodies down a hole and popping some incubation pods, but it's pretty cool to see when you get it. :D
This video really shows the true terror of the flood. Not the undead abominations, but seeing your own allies, your friends, turned INTO those abominations that then attack you.
"Not even the flood can stop our galactic destiny Rejoice, repent and pray! The heroic actions of our warriors will be remembered throughout the Great Journey."
The forerunners thought it necessary to construct the Halo to wipe out the parasite, and all the while an army of brutes handling gravity hanmers would have done the trick.
Maybe start the flood slighty further out in order for the covenant to be able to utilize their 1 advantage range. I also liked that you gave the grunts better weapons because plasma in these ganes is really weak
in principle the covenant had an advantage, but some do not take into account that the little monsters can turn the covenant ones into a flood, I found out a little late
Man, The vehicles were much better than the previous NPC battle, the warthogs were sent flying in the previous war. Compared to the ghosts they did a pretty good job
Adding in Flood Juggernaut for the Flood could give them a better damage spongy tank; not to mention the Crawlers and Spike Flood. But for the Covenant, I mean, they'd crush with both the Drones and the Engineers added in; the Engineers alone would buff them hardcore. Honestly, a full Flood lineup fighting a full Promethean line up, Sentinel varieties included, now that would be interesting.
The fact the flood gets anything done at all simply because the AI makes the covenants walk into melee or have their mounted guns behind cover so it can't shoot proves just how impossible it'd be for any advanced society to fall to a zombie outbreak. A defensive line of gunfire would simply eradicate such a threat without an issue.
Kudos to the Grunt in the Ghost that willingly ram a flood and keep staying on the frontlines.
