If we do not utilize the liberties we do have, we will continue to lose them. It's like a muscle, if you don't exercise it, you lose it [you guys are welcome to use that one]. Many rights and liberties have been stolen from us since 2001, yet even still we don't press the issues where the issues need pressed, but instead let a "nanny state" emerge under the pretense of "peace and security". I will agree we need to try to gain better local authorities or at least gain report with them; they can opt in or out on enforcing unBiblical/unConstitutional regulation that comes from "up the chain". Some of that has happened here in TX where it comes to the 2nd amendment or abortion.
Something Voddie didn't expressly say that I find interesting; the Home/Church/State relationship has the duty to place checks with one another and keep each other on the correct path, and as "unreligious" as our nation was supposedly founded (depending who you ask), our Republic was founded on a very similar method where 3 branches of government, whether or not they actually DO it, have the responsibility of keeping tabs and checks on one another. If everybody is "helping a brutha out" and not just watching them fall and saying "oh well, glad I'm not that guy; I can't concern myself with him", then a stronger society based on truth can happen.
This was a great series. Thanks to Voddie and GfBC both for having these messages to view and share. It gives the "peasant" much to consider, but also perhaps some of our local and broad leaders can be coaxed into watching it and learn from it as well. >>;=)
