A Defense Towards Longer Movies

So I have a different sort of video planned for today. After hearing constantly about how movies now a days are “TOO LONG”, I have been thinking a lot about whether or not those claims are justified. As I’m someone who have found a lot of value in movies that are longer, so I wanted to make a video making a defense to why movies being long is not as big of a deal as some people make it out to be. Hope you guys enjoy
Oh and note, this video was made and completed before the release of Spider-Verse 2. So if some of it sounds slightly out of date, that’s why. I’ve meant to release it earlier but life has been getting in the way on my end. Which expect a slower output of videos this month potentially because of that.

It depends on the type of movie... kids tend to get bored, so movies for younger people should be shorter... historical movies should be longer, because there's a lot of information to convey, action movies should be somewhere in-between... for adults, i would say the sweet spot is 2-3 hours long, for children, an hour and a half, maybe 80 minutes... also means more show times in theaters.
