Hi! Thank you for your videos! It looks like the discount code is not working anymore ?
lavazza decaff is pretty cool
i agree Tom, different foods do metabolize better with ones body. for me personally i have hit a plateau in my veganism.
I intuitively change my diet during the seasons. Summer more lighter foods and winter more hearty. I never eat the same all year round. I think this goes for any type of eating and nature tells us if we listen to our bodies. I'm whole food plant based. Maybe you just need to change some of the food you eat. Just a thought.
@@ginafox27 thanks I will certainly try this.
Thanks for reviewing and sharing how they break down the data. WARRIOR20 isn't working for me in the US, should it work with the Diet Fitness Pro 360 (23&Me)?
Brian Katyl I think it just works with DNA fit but I will check back in. The code is definitely live
This is hilarious 😂 let’s reduce coffee intake, then next scene is a nice cup of coffee.
I can't help myself, sorta of ironic really
Your house is fantastic.
Hi Tom! The discount code seems to be no longer available... possible to get a new one?
Henrique Coimbra I don’t think it was forever unfortunately. Try emailing DNAFit directly
Loved your video as always. Get ready to party. Very soon now, your most popular video will hit 1 million views!!! Yea Baby! That's right! How Long Does Mobility Take?! (MY JOURNEY) has 999,313 views as of this post.
thanks boss! It's exciting :)
The only proven methods for food intolerence are IgE blood test and skin prick test, methods such has IgG, hair and nail, kinesiology, alcat etc are a massive waste of money!!! .. resently done a lecture on this in university!!
interesting. I'd seem some decent evidence for linking genes with coeliac disease but maybe I've been misinformed :)
@@BodyweightWarrior coeliac disease specifically needs to be done by a IgE blood test by GP mate!!
Kyle Davies there are 3 genes linked to coeliac disease (HLA DQ2.5, 2.2, 8) but does not mean you have it. As a DNA test goes, these (and others) could indicate an increased chance of gluten sensitivity. But yes a blood test is the only way to confirm kt
Pale skin looks way better on you Tom
I need a tan!
Man this is such bogus 😂😂.. there is no way to measure this features with just your DNA
damn, how many molecular biology class have u taken? u sound like u know a lot
He is right about the bogus irrespective of that....
Daniel Chachanashvili actually I had to attend some during my nutritional science degree, lol. So I'm pretty positive, sounds similar to the "blood type diet" bs...
Read their „Terms of service“ (what nearly nobody does):
„No medical advice is provided, and Genetic Information reported has not been clinically validated.
Health, fitness, nutrition or wellness behaviours should not be altered solely based on the information provided by DNAFit. Referral to a healthcare professional to discuss results is recommended before acting upon data provided by DNAFit services. There are other factors, such as other (perhaps unknown) genetic markers, environmental factors and lifestyle choices, which also affect wellness traits.“
In simple words: Don’t trust or act on our advice.
I'm going to disagree. There is plenty of evidence looking at gene coding and its relationship with various chronic diseases. I'm by no way saying this is the answer or only thing you can do and would urge anyone to just eat as nutritious as they could as a starting point. I decline 99% of paid promotion opportunities because I don't care for them (this is actually the first on this channel). DNA testing is something I've wanted to do for several years now so whilst I'm understanding that there are limitations with it, I thought it was an interesting experience :)
Does this company sell your info, like ancestry and 23andMe? I know I sound like I have a tinfoil hat on, but that makes me super uncomfortable...
If you don't plan to commit a crime then there shouldn't be anything to fear.
NinJaFREAK not the point. If you’re in America you have the 4th amendment and the right to privacy. It’s not about if you’re gonna do bad things it’s the fact that it’s immoral to sell peoples private info

This video seems to have stirred up some controversy...I really appreciate the contributions in the comments to challenge my own personal beliefs and understanding. DNA testing is something I've wanted to do for some time prior to this video and thought it may be of interest to share. Enjoy the video for what it is and catch you in the next one :)
Tom Merrick any idea on when we can get this in the US?
Hi Tom - I actually follow your channel since quite a while and usually found useful information here.
However, this particular product is a more or less a scam, as Markus L points it out (read his comment for that purpose). The provider actually claims that the test results are useless.
I understand that it is tempting to make some money by promoting products.
But please do also understand that you are playing with your reputation. Do you want to develop a respected Fitness-UA-cam channel like Athlean-X or Calisthenics Movement, i.e. people go there because they will find truthful information of high integrity, or do you want to become one of the Vinces of the Calisthenics community, i.e. a V-Shred on rings?
One remark on why you may find some "truth" in your results - This could be due to a confirmation bias (i.e. you "want" it to work for various reasons). This leads finally to you retrospectively fitting your experiences to the test results. In order to support this you rely on descriptions test results that are actually quite vague.
This is basically how horoscopes work.
Roberto Schege I appreciate your honesty with this comment. I promise you I’m committed to making the best videos I can and spreading useful information as I know best at the time of creation. Getting controversial comments on videos is not something I enjoy but do see them as a learning experience, it makes me question it. Whilst I see many people are skeptical of this product, it is something I wanted to test on myself for a couple of years now simply out of personal interest. I did research the product prior seeing skeptical information on ancestry reports but noticing nothing on dietary recommendations. I have actually seen good supporting evidence for it during a quick literature review. I don’t think it’s perfect but I certainly found it interesting :)
@@BodyweightWarrior I do completely believe you in terms of your motivation to make videos and spread information. And you seem to be a nice person hence I decided to invest some of my time to make my point.
I also understand that the idea of testing genes in order to find answers to questions that a lot of people struggle with is tempting. However as often in life - the answers to complex problems are complex too.
Also popular magazines like Men's Health (found that by googeling) took up the topic of lifestyle DNA testing, so this seems to be a topic
And you still need to make a decision whether to promote a product that produces results that are purely anecdotal.
PS.: It reminds me a bit about the controversy of Austin Dunham and these rubber balls he promoted once (to chew on in order to develop the jaw muscles)...
Mate, thanks for sharing this sort of things with us lot. One thing is for sure, you will always come across internet experts who will shit on whatever you do. Hope the results have helped you greatly and have made you a healthier person. I have just put the uk coupon in and ordered mine ( considering how much shit food I eat in a week, this is money well spent !!). Thanks again for sharing, some of us will change our ways thanks to this crucial infos. Cheers.
Hi Tom! So great to see the channel growing for you:-) Keep up the excellent content.
Apropos the blood tests; where do you get them done, or is it a home kit? I've looked into buying cholesterol kits from pharmacists and considered a health check. So many options and I'd appreciated any suggestions you might have. Thanks
I use a company called Thriva here in the UK. It's more basic with what it measures but ticks the mains boxes and is very easy to perform :)
Does anyone else think he has the perfect voice for this type of videos? It’s so pleasant to listen to (aside from the useful information of course)
It's ok to be in love, own it.
Feed yourself according to your genes. Apparently in the future the nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics will be useful tools when designing individual diets. I did my DNA test already .... usefull tool indeed.
@Brion Song Maybe you should upgrade yourself as a scientist. Notice how the medical community, for example, took almost 30 years to accept that the problem was not fats but sugar. According to you, dairy products affects everyone the same as well as gluten. By the way I am an economist. Would you believe me if I told you the profitability that you get based on the distribution of dividends is more advantageous if you invest in the long term in the stock market than in a real estate? or will you tell me that I have no idea?Related to sports: Meta Analysis www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23358679
@@grunow Fats where the problem for what? And even if you were true - this does not mean anything for the truthfulness of lifestyle DNA tests and this product.
To the subject - So far I have nor read anybody stating that genes would be without influence on physical performance. It is about the meaningfulness of the results that this product delivers. Even the providers of this product clearly state that these results are not clinically validated which means that any positive correlation between the test results and a successful diet is purely anecdotal.
Would you as a business professional accept such thing in your professional world? Something like "I personally was quite successful by investing in pig bellies - so everybody will be successful too"... I hope not!
is this dna test legit or bs?
BS. Even a fitness magazine like Men's Health is refuting it including other Lifestyle-DNA tests. I found an article from them on that topic after googeling for 5 sec.
Jesus Tom! You're so cute 😍
What kind of blood tests do you do and what do you look for in them?
Don't buy this kit...Helix is way better 💯
I thought this was really interesting, I got my dna tested with 23 and me and they don’t tell me any of this shit (apart from I am more power than endurance) ....I think it’s always good to get more information although you can probably tell a lot of this stuff from experience imo,
Cameron Miller completely agree, another tool to use but not the only one
Ja i'm the first, TOMMM!!
decaf....oh well, i definitely tried ;) still not happy with any

Hi Tom, I enjoy watching your videos. Just wanted to let you know that code does not appear to be working as of yet.
Hi Ricardo, if you're in the US you'll need to use 'WARRIOR20', 'WARRIOR50' will only work in the UK. Let us know if you're still having issues!
Hey Tom, great video! Curious, what other testing have you done to help with your nutrition? I’m interested in getting professional testing done to clarify information on my food allergies. I‘m a fan of Ben Greenfield’s content but many of the tests he recommend are limited to the US, so I’m curious if you or anyone in this community have any pointers for testing in the UK? Thanks very much
I got the idea from Ben for this video actually. For allergies, I actually find just an elimination diet with the reintroduction of food groups more effective. Depending on the test, it will highlight 90% of what you've consumed in the past 72 hours. It will also vary with time and gut health. Elimination diet is a good place to start :)
Tom Merrick- Thanks for the reply! Yeah great pointers about how variable a test can be, I’ll give an elimination diet a serious shot. Went overboard once and put every smoothie ingredient Ben recommended into a single shake sure that I’d become superhuman and felt quite terrible afterwards which hammered home your point about nutrition individuality. Keep up the great work Tom 👍
Says coupon codes are invalid?
Try again mine worked just fine, UK coupon to be exact. Good luck.
Not sure what to think of this video. 🤔
Tamara how come?
I've come across so much conflicting evidence regarding DNA testing and its worth when it comes to designing a nutritional plan.
What hair product do you use?
KvltKommando nothing but olive oil :)
I love me some coffee too! Great content as always ✌️😀
who wouldn't!
Sadly, my mother...! Don’t ask why. Hehe 🙃
Warrior50 says "invalid code"
I would go for it if 50% off were a thing but it says that's not a valid coupon. Soooo..
